how march went

Late again!! My bad!! Anyways, March was AWESOME! Mom and my younger sister celebrated their birthdays, it was pretty fun. But I also went to a convention after a while of not going to any! However my phone did break and I needed to get a new one... problem is all my photos from 7th to 12th grade are there. And I can't transfer them the easy way with smart switch. However I thankfully found someone who can get the memory chip out and extract the photos! It's pricy but I'm willing to work and pay for it- After my birthday though (23.04). It's not like my phone can just explode, lol, I replaced the battery so it's new and doesn't have many issues. Worst case scenario is I'll take it out to stay safe.

Anyways, on the 16th I went to a convention! I went to harucon with my sister. I was my dnd OC and my sister was First Alice (from Alice of Human Sacrifice). I remember the whole con she was complaining to me there was little to no Meiko merch and how it was mostly Miku with occasionally the Kagamines... Oh I so get you.

First I want to talk about the OC. Her name is Ayra, and she's a shadar-kai paladin who swore an oath of revenge to the goddess of war and justice. I love her. She's just me but as an elf with a halberd and plate armor. I remember in the middle of the con I passed by this group of DND nerds and one just shouted about me "So that's why there's a stealth disadvantage for plate armor." SIR, I'M SURPRISED YOU DIDN'T ASSUME IT'S LOUD AS FUCK. I swear you could hear me from 500 meters. Whatever it was worth it for the drip.

I met so many cool people- there were so many Miku cosplayers... I also spent so much money. Whatever, it was worth it- I now have 550 nis worth of vocaloid merchandise including a SWEET ANN STICKER?? Man, shout out to Shay Kagamine, all my backpacks are covered in her keychains. I also saw a rarity- a Doc cosplayer. Yes, like THE docm77. It was crazy. I chatted to him and he sent me a mcyt fan GC link... I still haven't joined it because I want to draw a thank you gift, but still unsure which duo/group. Then I ended up chatting for like an hour with a boatem scar cosplayer- their hat prop was insane. During that I also saw a Saya Kisaragi cosplayer!! Finally, another Israeli blood-c fan!! They were hella chill but I forgot to get their IG :( After it I spotted two dream figures- the mandarin style Miku AND luminasta Luka. Shame Luka was overpriced (was like x3 more expensive than the average price). Ended up getting Miku which I'm happy about!! I just like Luka more but it's okay, I'll get her another time. Ended up hanging out with a group of desert duo + Cleo cosplayers, which told me if I go to Olamot they'll add me to an 18+ mcyt fan GC. I agreed, because c'mon, what do I have to lose? Technically I'm not 18 yet but my birthday is in like, less than a week after the con happens.

Now the way back home. God, it was a nightmare. If you ever tried getting to and from Jerusalem outside of the Jerusalem district you know how awful it is. The first train was CROWDED and I was stuck with someone claustrophobic and squeezed tight like a sardine into a corner to give her some space. It helped her so I'm glad I could help someone even if I felt silly doing it. To be fair I was making myself a fool all day, so... Not really anything special. Then as the train emptied up a little, I tried moving inwards into the cart. Then the train left the station, and I was LAUNCHED back full force, almost tumbled half the cart, but made less noise than I expected. What DID bring attention to me? Some old haredi guy shouted "HOPA'LE!!!" at the top of his lungs. I thought I got away with it but he brought attention to me. Why'd u have to do me dirty man... Not cool! :P The real hell was then the second train. Me and my sister were aware we needed to wait half an hour for the train north to Nahariyya, but it was delayed by an additional 16 MINUTES. During the 46 mins we spent there, I was on 1% battery and some old lady awkwardly tried speaking russian with me when I told her my parents came from the USSR. Mind you I know little to no russian anymore. Ended up switching to hebrew and we actually had a nice chat. Aside from that the second train was okay. Though I wish to have a driving license now.

A few days later I was at Ein Keshatot!! It's an ancient ruin of a jewish town in the Golan heights- Built entirely out of basalt. It was beautiful!! The synagogue there had such intricate carvings at the main podium, into basalt of all stones. Pretty cool!! There was also an old linen-making factory... It was really fascinating, I haven't really seen one before. Basically, if you're in the Golan heights, go see it. It's cool. The next day, we went to Kokhav Ha'Yarden (lit. trans.: star of the Jordan river), an old crusader-era fortress- it was GIANT and SO impressive. Super cool!!

Then a week later we went to the Circassian museum in Kfar Kama, it was so interesting... I loved specifically the linguistics of the circassian language. Got some circassian cheese while there too- the smoked stuff is hella good. A day after we went to the Nimrod fortress, a caliphate-era fortress built by the Ayyubids. It was also huge, even bigger than Kokhav Ha'Yarden. I liked Nimrod more honestly, but both were super cool and the contrast between the two styles was interesting. We got some falafel on the way back- It was perfect falafel too- crunchy shell but soft and melted in your mouth on the inside. Fresh too!! The harissa was perfectly spicy and smooth too. Druze folk just do food right I swear.

Of course, how else without this part- Vocalsynth releases!!

So first off, on the 21st came out Synthersizer V 2!! I've seen mostly positive things about it, aside from a lot of bugs and issues.

On the 13th, Yuzuki Yukari got a vocaloid6 update!! She sounds great. I love the new design a lot as well.

On the 21st, well, a LOT happened. First off, most synthV voicebanks got ports to synthV 2. And we finally got Miki SV!!! I LOVE her. The design is super cool too, not what I expected but it's cool- And they returned her android joints too!! And Kiyoteru's there too I guess. We also got two new voicebanks- Liam and Mo Xu. Liam sounds nice- I like that he's a deeper voice. Mo Xu... IDK. She's nice I guess? I do like the warmth in her voice. And of course, as promised in the release of SynthV 2, we got korean as a language option. With it, we got Uni SV!! First off, stunning design. Second of all, her voice is just WOW!?!?!?! I love her. She is so good. Definition of Diva.

On the 27th, Eclipsed Sounds released the first two vocals of their new series TONE CHROMA- GALENAIA and HXVOC. Odd naming choices aside, GALENAIA's voice is beautiful- What we lack a lot in the synth scene is opera vocals, and I'm glad she's another vocal to fill in that gap with classical opera. A new spanish native vocal is cool too!! I love her voice. HXVOC is a rock style voice- suited for screamo, another gap in the synth world. First off- the bionic arms are EVERYTHING, I love him. He's amazing. Easily new favorite synthV voice. Can't wait to see what else this series brings, super excited to see what's next!!

On the 28th, we got two more of the bang dream collab vocals, on synthV! The first two were ROSE and POPY, which I liked but I'm not too crazy over. These two I'm not too crazy over either, HALO just isn't for me, but she's a nice nasal-ish higher pitched voice overall. Same with PASTEL, she is WONDERFUL as a bright higher-pitched voice but I don't connect much to her. Overall two great releases, just not for me. All the bang dream voicebanks are great but I think ROSE is still my favorite.

Boy, this was a long one. Overall... March was great :) I loved it so much. Hope whatever April's got for me is as good if not better!

See you next month, Esh <3
