mood: emotionally attacked but in a cute way

dear conan gray,
why do you keep writing songs that expose me. like. who gave you permission.
did i accidentally send you my google docs of unspoken feelings from 2019?? be honest.

like one minute i’m chilling, drinking water, being normal.
and the next?? “yours” comes on and suddenly i’m in a fake relationship mourning someone i never even dated.
sir what.

and “memories”?? oh, you wanna make me feel nostalgic for situations that LITERALLY NEVER HAPPENED??
why does your music make me miss things i’ve never experienced. why does it make me stare dramatically at nothing. i am 14. what do i know about longing.

also the way you perform like you’ve been personally wronged by love 500 times and came back stronger every time… teach me your ways.

but real talk, you’re one of those artists that feels like a best friend.
not in a parasocial “i know you” way, but like… your music gets me when even i don’t get me.
and that’s kinda magic.
