Living in Scotland, being alt, and having no friends is actually an insane lifestyle. The scene here is actually ded as faaak like I see all the cool shit happening in the emo community in America, like actual gigs dedicated to post hardcore, the (rather poorly) attempted revival of warped tour, emo nights at clubs actually playing emo tunes. And what we get here in Scotland (and from what I know the wider uk) is just… nothing. I guess cathouse in Glasgow actually tries but then again, their owner is a pos and the closest thing they play to emo is smokahontas. 

Idk I’m just rambling but there genuinely just seems to be nothing. I know there is a absolutely tiny community but even still, no bands, no decent gigs, nothing :( 

I just want things to do and places to go to cause rn there genuinely is nothing. Either that or I’m completely oblivious to things that are happening. Oh well
