im in arts class and the other day my teacher told us that we needed to make a drawing for a contest on the school´s agrupment picture or symbol or whatever anyway.....i haver like 3 guys in my class who DONT EVEN LIKE ARTS and only came to arts class because they thought it was easier to pass the years. (wrong af cause we got geometry but anyway....) so while they were drawing my teacher suddenly said to the class that we could use AI generated pictures for this....LIKE HELLO ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! WHERES THE WORK IN AI GENERATED PICTURES? LIKE ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS WRITE WHAT YOU WANT IT TO MAKE AND BOOM THERE YOU HAVE! ai is totally ruining tradicional art and criativity. I thought it was so stupid when my teacher said that cause arent you supposed to teach us how to draw? like..
Anyway i still think abt it cause this irritated me. AI GENERATED PICTURES ARENT ART!!! at least not real art.

I'm mad that a teacher said this. It's even worse because it's a contest, meaning there will be people who actually took the time to draw something, and there will be people who cheat and use AI. Is there any way you can discuss with the teacher to see if they can change their decision?

It's not the "AI needs to be stopped", but your "teacher needs to be stopped" in this particular situation
