I dont think I understand HTML as well as I think I do

HTML sucks and I dont understand how it worksss. 

I think the main reason i can't wrap my head around HTML is because I'm currently learning C++ basics, and trying to learn two things that are similar at once without my brain short-circuiting. it definitely doesn't help that a lot of pre-existing HTML code is not organise at all and attempting to edit or do anything feels like more trouble than it's worth. being a mad perfectionist probably doesn't help.

my profile layout has a few flaws that are burning daggers into my eyes everytime I open this site but idk how to fix iitttt. things are really saturated like my "how id like to meet" section and the profiles of my friends. one of the photos is in 2 places and i can't fix it

I'm just gonna leave it be and not think about it. it's not the craziest things ever (I'm gaslighting myself) so I'm gonna focus on other things instead
