I get this entirely! It's so frustrating when you hear it from the adults in your life. When I was in elementary school, I would constantly get picked on by the boys in my class. Whenever I asked my mom, "Why are they being so mean to me?", she just said ,"Because he has a crush on you" or "that's just the way boys are when they want a girls attentions" and hearing that always pissed me off or just furthered my painful frustration. Being a woman sucks so fucking hard sometimes.
