im sharing with you some of my favorite songs from my and my neighboring countries, i tried to include as many as i could and as many genres and such!

this post only has macedonia, bosnia and albania/kosovo, but im planning on making another with serbia, croatia and turkiye!
MACEDONIA:
instrumental band from Bitola, perfect for background music and for enjoyers of video game soundtracks
rap group and my FAVORITE macedonian musicians, this song also features LD Pistolero who is also an amazing rapper from Macedonia. truly worth a listen for all fans of old school hip hop!
punk rock band from Skopje, authentic punk sound, great instrumentals, good listen for punk, punk rock and ska punk listeners!
rap duo with folk influence. on march 13th due to a fire caused by pyrotechnics, a half of their band had lost their lives. the fire took 60 lives, including the main vocal Andreja Gjorgieski, back-up vocalist Sara, their beat-boxer, drummer and many others. this shook our country to the core, and this song is one of the last they recorded, this was devastating, my country is small, everyone knew someone who was there.
indie pop, one of my favorite songs, honestly ive listened to it hundreds of times, a good listen to those who wanna dance!
funk band with probably one of my favorite vocalists ever, really good vocals with clever lyrics. probably one of the best currently active macedonian musicians.
it wouldn't be a macedonian music conversation without Tose. a pop legend in our country which lost his life early in 2007, but truly there's never been anyone like him, in spirit or talent. the most famous macedonian musician.
ALBANIA/KOSOVO:
a rock group from Kosovo, probably my favorite albanian musicians 5ever, the entire LP album is worth a listen for those who like chill, funky old-school rock music
one of my favorite albanian vocals honestly, an alternative band from kosovo, good for a good relaxing listen or for big time yearners due to the lyrics.
the song that got me into albanian music, its so fun, coming from a Kosovar rock group from the 90s, charming lyrics with a melancholic undertone, i listened to this on repeat while in Kosovo :p
an influential rapper from Kosovo, probably the most influential within the albanian rap scene, good for hip hop enjoyers, and also my cheat-code for all the albanian men :p, this is my favorite of his songs but he has a lot which are just as good
a rap track from Skopje, filmed with boyf's dog and in his neighborhood and friends so of course i'm biased :D, but really good listen for old school rap fans!
my favorite version of this song, its so cute :(((,, cover of an albanian folk song but it's resung in a calming and beautiful tone, i listen to it as a lullabye, a short and sweet song, and it's worth a listen
BOSNIA:
punk band with an authentic punk sound! great for punk fans, also i love the vocals
bosnian new wave band with an interesting and original sound, really fun songs and great for dancers and goth music enjoyers
obviously we have to speak of the kings of the bosnian scene, dubioza are balkan legends, with ska influence, they incorporate folk music and balkan traditions in their music and switch between bosnian and english often, they're one of the most fun bands to listen to live and i could not recommend them more, their discography is skipless, honestly they cover so many genres so if you like punk, ska, reggae and folk you're guaranteed to find something you enjoy
old school rap sound, lyrics based on political climate, awesome flow, an amazing rapper from tuzla, bosnia, and if you liked cista okolina or unikkatil you're sure to find this a good listen!
more political rap! this group features another awesome rapper named edo maajka, who's also worth a listen, just more old school rap :)
