MOTW:
"Guiltiness In Longing"

This song is one of many of Johnny Mercers unsung classics that I simply adore. The song eludes to dreaming of a long lost lover, and feeling guilty in doing so. It has a very sad somber tune, and when the song ends it suddenly picks up energy and ends very beautifully. This song is one of my favorites, especially with the ending. The ending really ties the whole thing together, and shows just how talented of a group the Mellowares and Johnny Mercer were. Their voices are instruments all to their own.
I think we as people are all guilty of longing for something we cant reasonably have. Some more than others. This song is a great antithesis of that. That though we may have a swelling heart, pride, happiness, deep down in the dark recesses of our mind, even unconsciously, we want something. Its not wrong to want something, but to bother yourself with it is a whole other issue.
