shifting from winter to spring is quite a strange one for me.
as a child, i looooonged for winter to be over, as i didnt like the long dark nights. i enjoyed summer because we had 6 weeks off school which meant hanging with friends at the park, going on holidays, being outside in the sun, etc
but as ive gotten older, ive started to worship the winter more. I love that it gets dark at about 4:30pm, i can enjoy my tea (dinner) and go straight to my bedroom, put on some comfy clothes all snuggled up with a cosy blanket and watch a film - and thats me for the remainder of the evening :) during the winter months, i dont feel as guitly for staying cooped up inside, simply because its dark and everyone else is doing the same
but as our evenings are drawing out (especially since our clocks went forward an hour on sunday) i just get the feeling like im 'supposed' to be outside doing something. i feel like im wasting my evenings away. but for me no matter what season we're in, i'm chilling in my pjs from 6pm onwards regardless, i just feel guilty that im looking out my window rn at almost 8pm and its still light outside 😂
i just know i cant be the only one who feels this way

I just came across your blog post browsing new blog entries :D I was like "waiiiit I know that one" haha
Yes I love winter too but I also love the other times of the year because all of them have their pros and cons. And summer doesn't stop me from getting into my comfy clothes early if I feel like it. Sitting in my living room in the golden sunlight in the evening is amazing. Just not everyday, but whenever I feel like it.
But yes, those dark evenings in the winter are amazing if you know how to get some quality time out of those :D And I know you do haha
haha, you're always close by aren't ya :)
yeah ive always been an evening person and i think this justifies it
