Texting in Public Transit

I feel kinda weird texting in public transit. I can't do it in the bus because it makes me motion-sick, but I'm fine with doing it in the train or subway. Still, when I look up and see everyone else doing it, I'm just like... why? Why is everyone doing this? Why am I doing it? So I just stop and awkwardly stare.

Does anyone have that feeling? How do you cope with it?

i think the reason this doesn't really happen in trains or subways is because they're more "stable" vehicles? idk

I get what you mean about stable. In trains all they can really do is go from side to side. Cars can go horizontally and vertically, while planes, boats, and buses have a secret third thing that really makes me queasy.
