There’s a new rise of art stealers using AI object removers to get rid of watermarks. However, there is a very easy way to combat this.
Put a watermark in the most complicated area of the drawing. AI is stupid so it will fuck everything up.
For example:

Here’s an image I drew, putting the watermark in the hair. However, if you use AI retouch to remove it;

It isn’t very obvious that it was removed and an art thief could easily get away with stealing it. However, if I put the watermark on the faces and use retouch;

It is very obviously altered.
I’ve tried this on my other pieces too, and it works.
Hope this helps!
(Please ignore the fact that the middle image has a slightly different font; I was using pictures left over on my device and that one was old)

well i just write my watermark everywhere and make it so that it is slightly visible
True but I tend to focus on the watermark more in that case so this is just visually more appealing
