Branding- a term I'm all too familiar with. I am fairly certain that the majority of my life at the moment revolves around it. Or at least around its creation. My mind has been filled with related questions for my own brand.
"Dynamic or Static identity?" "Detailed or Minimalist?" "Modern or Retro?" "Contemporary or Futuristic?"
Overall, I enjoy designing branding concepts and total brand identities. My only problem- it's all become so corporate now. With the entire world shifting towards a flat, modern, semi-futuristic minimalist aesthetic, I feel like it is becoming harder and harder to stick out and be noticeable amongst the masses.
There are a few ways to differ myself, but it is a very difficult matter to design something that doesn't fall under outdated design styles like skeuomorphism. It's taken a while, but I think I've found a fitting solution. There is a little-known successor of skeuomorphism called "Neumorphism", which kind of combines realistic design with minimalism, achieving a unique, soft, gradient-filled brand identity.
I have not yet implemented this into my brand due to time constraints and other things in my life taking up my time, but I will post updates as I think of more things, or actually have the time to get somewhere with all of this brand overhauling.
