Burning CDs

I've wanted to burn CDs for quite a while now, and I finally got to it last week! :]

I went through my dad's stuff and found a bunch of empty CD-Rs, stole them (he doesn't use them anymore lol), and got to work. I used Windows Media Player for my first "test" CD, and was super baffled at how simple it was. Unfortunately, the CD came out kind of bad, with tons of skipping and a messy track order.

I then decided to try out this software for burning CDs/DVDs called 'Anyburn' to see if it made a difference, and it did! I could now choose to burn my CDs waaayyy slower, which probably helped a lot with the skipping issue I previously had. I was also able to rearrange the order of the songs on there, so I could listen to albums as intended, instead of having some randomized mess of a tracklist.

It's been so much fun, and I can't wait to burn even more CDs! I already have a mixtape made for the summer, can't wait to play it on my boombox while at the beach. :P

Having an MP3 player is actually so fun, I love having a little device just for music, using the free version of Spotify on my phone was a horrible experience lol. I hope the repairs go smoothly and you can transfer all those songs onto it ASAP! :]

Sure!

What you'll need to start burning CDs is either a pack of CD-Rs or CD-RWs, the latter is rewriteable, which is great if you want to make any modifications to the songs on the CDs in the future. You can find these on Amazon and most online tech stores. The other things you'll need are any laptop/computer, and possibly an external CD/DVD drive if your computer doesn't have one already built-in.

All you have to do is insert the CD-R/RW into the CD drive, open Windows Media Player, add some songs to the list section, and then select the 'burn' option. Anyburn is just a tiny bit more complicated. Once you open the app, you'll have to press the 'burn Audio CD from MP3, FLAC, MP4, etc.' option, add the songs onto the next page, and then you can press the 'burn' option! I'd recommend slowing down the burn if you end up using Anyburn, it doesn't take that long tbh and I think it helps with the sound quality.

It sounds pretty easy, I'm ordering CD-Rs as we speak, I'll update how it goes!
