why is r@pe/p3doph1lia so normalized these days? Especially on ao3 and NO just because they are fictional or 'it's just a fanfiction!!' it doesn't count you really don't know how many times I have typed in my fav anime/cartoon or ship on the ao3 search bar just to be met with countless r@pefics/p3d0fics and then there are ppl arguing in the comments saying shi like 'it's alr bc it's fiction!!' honey you STINCK go take a shower and hopefully you slip, crack your head open and d!e in there 2 bc there is NO WAY you actually think that's ok

BIG agree! On Ao3 I usually filter and put the "No warnings apply option" since I have seen so many disgusting fics
Mfs who claim that fiction doesn't affect reality should get a therapist appointment and new coping skills asap

It isn't thing of nowdays is a all history ¡Just look mythology! In almost every mythology r@pe and p@d0filia appears like a good thing in some moment. It's a consequence of the sexuaded beings, particularly mammals.

AO3 is an uncensored archive, unfortunately, those things are going to be on there, but you can filter tags so you don't see them.
It's disgusting to even write about it in a porno/erotic/romanticized way, and it does a lot more harm than good. I don't believe these people think about the fact that consuming such content desensitises them to real conversations about rpe, and not take it as seriously as it should be taken because they've demoted it down into a 'kink. ' (I've dealt with someone doing that before; not at all pleasant.)
Fiction affects reality; the fact that a lot of these people use fiction as a 'coping mechanism' is enough evidence of that. Not all coping mechanisms are healthy.
(And all pedos and rpists should be tortured immensely and suffer a slow death! ^^)

Don't go into ao3 if you freak out just seeing the tags on a work. They aren't censoring any fics and it's YOUR responsibility to block out tags you dislike. Or just go to a different website with censoring.
