emo rec <3

I discovered the band Crochet through Reasonable record releasing cassette tapes of their debut EP! I thought it was amazing and refreshing to hear this more math rock-y screamo ensemble in the sea of “internet” lo-fi inspired screamo bands (not that I don’t like bands who fit that description but the sound is getting overdone in my opinion ^_^).  Their recent album Cherish is quite frankly AOTY so far! The instrumentals are beautiful to me and the screams so painful and hopeless. There seem to be themes of loneliness and suicidal ideation. While I don’t fully grasp it, I find listening to this record very comforting. I absolutely recommend checking it out fans of math rock and screamo! xD
