Hey y'all,
I was looking around for some 88x31 buttons but was having a hard time finding the ones that I wanted. I went ahead and posted a thread over on the Melonland Forums and got some feedback & requests for some more. I will be trying to keep that thread and this blog post updated with the buttons that I create.
Please leave me any feedback or requests for additional ones, and I'll also try reaching out when they're complete.

If I may be a lil critical, I'd say the shading on these is a tad too extreme, the top being literally white makes it blend with pages such as SpaceHey itself and that messes with alignment, as well as arguably the characteristics of the format but these aren't that important. Especially since microsoft is currently using 90x32 button for Visual Studio, I believe.

Looks like a light grey or off-white will work better?
If I ever get around to making some by hand, too, I'll keep that in mind.

Thanks for the feedback! I was also thinking about that, and may look into how other buttons do it.
For all of these I just utilized a blank-grey 'retro' button as the template, but have seen other 'glossy' buttons do differently with the border

No, it just depends on the blank you use. OG Netscape buttons did in fact do that, and oddly enough once they decided to change them it was by turning the underside dark grey, but it should be treated as case-specific in my opinion. and I myself don't use templates at all.
