I haven’t been keeping up with this journal, unfortunately. I’ve been doing so many different things lately. I’ve still been adding music to iTunes, and recently started adding album info and album artwork for all my songs, which I’ve had to do manually, so it’s been quite time-consuming.
Jerry and I went to West Virginia earlier in the week to see a band we both like - Dream Theater - live, which was pretty cool. The next day, before heading back home, we stopped at a candy shop in town, and I got a bunch of new candy and soda to try.
I’ve been applying to random jobs on Indeed; mostly remote positions that I can work from home. None have got back to me, yet, except one that emailed me to tell me that they were not going to move forward with my application. Oh well.
Jerry gave me a task yesterday. He wants me to make a video quiz where the goal for the watcher is to guess the game based on a song from the soundtrack. Jerry wants me to do 3 separate videos with every tier 5 game from CE (excluding games that don’t have music, of course). He separated the games into three categories based on how hard it would be for people to identify the game (mostly based on the games' popularity within CE) so the three videos will be easy, medium, and hard. I’m using DaVinci Resolve to make this video, but since I have very little experience in video editing (pretty much just CapCut and ShotCut for TikToks) and almost no experience in DaVinci, it’s going to take some time, as I’m trying to learn as I go. It’s been difficult for sure, but I’m kinda having fun. So far, I’ve got three games in the video. For the first video alone, there will be 20 games, so I’ve still got a ways to go.
I’m still trying to stream consistently. I missed a few days this week because of the concert, but I streamed with The Squad (cheesy name, I know, but it’s a lot shorter than writing out “Jerry, Niko, and Emily” every time) last night. We played a new game (new to me, anyway) called Demonologist. It was actually scary as heck, but I still had fun, even if I was mostly useless.
Also yesterday, Jerry and I did our weekly Friday going out to eat, but we didn’t go to a new restaurant this time. Jerry is absolutely in love with the carnitas at San Juan, so he really wanted to go again. I hated my meal last time, but I told myself maybe the meal I got was just a bad one, so I agreed to go again. This time, I got the fajitas. I meant to get the beef fajitas, but my stupid ass accidentally told the server I wanted chicken fajitas, and I didn’t realise my mistake until like 5 minutes after. So I got the chicken fajitas. The chicken was just as disappointing as last time - zero flavour. The onions and bell peppers were okay, although the ones at the bottom of the skillet were burnt to crisps. The beans were mid as fuck and the rice was completely unpalatable. I took two bites and literally couldn’t take another because that shit was so disgusting.
Anyway, I don’t know if Adderall is working or not. Again, I don’t feel any different, but at least I don’t feel worse. I haven’t really noticed any bad side-effects, so at least there’s that.
