life update - march 29 2025

hey yall

i always start these with “its been a while” but its ACTUALLY been a while this time

i saw a reel talking about spacehey and actually remembered it exists again, the social medias im on change pretty fast but hopefully it’ll be in rotation again

anyways, a lot has changed over the past couple months

school

last time i made a post was when i was still in my first semester and its currently second semester

first semester was ROUGH, getting used to the new workload was really hard and the classes that i had kinda sucked ass

at the end of it i didnt have the grades that i wanted but just in general im glad it was over

second semester is shaping up to be much better though!! i have a lot of classes with friends and my classes are loads easier. we even have a class that we literally NAP IN for COLLEGE CREDIT its crazy

being in the college program that im in has led me to making a lot more friends that i can talk to irl and my social circle has grown a LOT since starting it which is pretty awesome!! ive started actually looking forward to talking to people at school which if you told me that a year ago or even a few months ago i wouldve never believed it

robotics

even though the season is over now, it was a BIG part of my life the past couple months

so the beginning of the season was pretty rough, deciding on a design was really hard but by the first tournament we had a pretty good robot! we ended up getting in the elimination rounds which was pretty awesome but we ended up making it JUST short of getting to state. on the plus side, we did get the design award!!

after the first tournament, we locked the FUCK IN. our designer had a new idea for a second arm, and after a while we got it working and it worked hella well, we were outscoring our previous bests by like 75 points. i also really locked in coding a new autonomous, so by the next tournament (and last if we didnt make it to state) we were hella ready

at the next tournament we actually CRUSHED IT, we beat one of the highest teams ranked in the state in the first match of the tournament, and were picked by them as an alliance partner in the end. during the eliminations we dominated and took home first place!! that secured our spot in the state tournament, and we also won second place in the “inspire” award which is literally the best award you can get!!

between that tournament and the state tournament, i really locked in for our auto and got it looking really competitively viable too

during the state tournament, we did pretty well especially compared to last year!! we ended up getting into eliminations as an alliance captain, but unfortunately we didn’t choose our alliance partner all that well and lost a bit. but we still ended up 5th place in the whole state out of like, 800 teams!!! which is hella sick! our robot looks awesome, and if you want any more details, i made a website for our team at ducksunderconstruction.com

made the switch from spotify to foobar2000 relativelu recently and its nice not having that money come out my pocket every month

been listening to willyrodriguez and drug bug a LOT recently especially wet dream and a season’s end, those albums are both SO good

i published 2 songs since i last made a post i think, one i worked on for a while, but commissioning the ost art took a LONG time, and the other i made about a game i played that i really liked!! i think i have my soundcloud and youtube link if you want to find em

ive also been working on another song which is a cover of a song i really like and its shaping up pretty well

because of robotics i really havent had a lot of time to dedicate to projects, but now that the season’s over ive been working on coding this multiplayer duck browser game which has been fun!

vidja games

since getting off of the robotics season ive been playing a lot more video games with friends! we recently started the fourth season of our minecraft server which was a lot of fun, but didnt really last that long because it didnt have much progression and most of the people in my community really need that progression to justify playing. on the bright side, i recently started another server with just some closer friends with cobblemon and create and it’s been a lot of fun!!

my dad added me to his steam library too, so i have a lot of fun new games to play! some noteable ones that i’ve liked a lot recently have been pseudoregalia, neon white, hades (which i never finished), dredge (which i like, just started playing), balatro, blasphemous, and webfishing! theyre all really sick ones and get an agnab seal of approval from me
