in their interview with genius, xdinary heroes tell us about their new album. junhan describes the lyrics of the album of how we aspire to have a beautiful life and breaking the stereotype of what a beautiful life looks like. they question where their values and beliefs come from and if they are truly from the heart. the album beautiful mind describes the journey of breaking free from the norm and embracing who you are and making your life beautiful as you want it.

fight me describes fighting strongly and confidently as if it is their last, no matter the pain they are in. 

beautiful life is about questioning if the truths they are fed are actually lies. they have had enough of having the truth hidden behind a 'screen' and decide to embrace their idea of a beautiful life, even if it is not the idea of 'perfection'.

more than i like is a more upbeat track, describing the feeling of finding refuge in a troubling life in someone else. they feel out of place in their lives and wish to stay with someone who they see as a 'light' and wish that they like them more than they do.

diamond is an incredibly quick track on the drums at 210 bpm. diamond feels like a follow up to beautiful life, with the lyrics of diamond match the imagery in the music video for beautiful life. they describe stepping out of the struggles they endured to fully embracing their beautiful life and knowing they are like diamonds, reassuring themselves of this fact.

supernatural is the ballad track on the album. it describes opening their heart up to someone else. they describe the love as something 'supernatural', something they wouldve never imagined having back when they were struggling.

george the lobster has been described by gunil as breaking through their shell and becoming something better like lobsters do. he recalls how the process is really painful, but after the struggle they have become bigger and better.

bitter but better shows the final mindset, being themselves unapologetically. their new strong personalities may come off as bitter, but they are better on the inside.

My Thoughts

favourite: diamond. this was impossible to choose bc every track is perfect. i am a big fan of screaming, so this one has sold me for favourite... beautiful life is a close second though.

least favourite: bbb. this was also impossible to choose. maybe i just dont love this one as much as its very reminiscent of undefined so its not a new shocking thing for me. i love how it ends off the album with a guitar solo though!

overall thoughts: it was so worth the wait. one thing about xdinary heroes is they will never miss... if you only listen to one new album this year make sure its this one. fight me is a perfect opener. beautiful life....just wow. so many different sounds, its so grand.. this is xdinary heroes' welcome to the black parade. more than i like is so cute!!!!! supernatural is literally the child of paranoid and uteot. i need to see ode play george the lobster on keytar!!!!!!!!!! im asking anyone who will listen, please listen to this album!!!!!!!!!!
