Broken cd player

I think mah cd broke idk I mean I haven't used it like almost a month 

But I still don't know how it broke I mean all I know it might NOT be broken and it's just the battery or something like that but I did change the battery so

Am planning on buying a new one but I don't have any MONEY but when I do get some money I'll buy a new one 

What do I do with a broken cd player? I mean I wouldn't want to throw it away in the trash, I might just sell it some day but I don't know
