SpongeBob hands down Keep in mind I have never watched SpongeBob and don't have much knowledge on Mario,I really only know the basics While you could argue that Mario could just stomp him, SpongeBob got that cartoon logic. A whole shield that is op like plot armour. You could essentially do anything to SpongeBob and he would still come out alive. Mario does have plot armour follows his video game logic which is limiting his abilities. Mario could possibly get power ups but it wouldn't beat SpongeBob's cartoon logic. SpongeBob could be a punching bag and make a really easy come back. This fight would definitely take a while but I think SpongeBob wins.
