#5 Pop beats and metal screams

I’ve always liked metal and pop. It’s not something that’s changed over time. Some people still find it weird or think I’m lying about it. In the early 2000s, nu-metal grabbed me hard. I was glued to MTV, waiting for new videos. Seeing Bring Me to Life, Left Behind, Rollin’, and Papercut for the first time hit like lightning. Trying to guess songs in the top 10 kept me hooked. Also liked NSYNC, BSB, t.A.T.u., Britney, and more back then. Found Cradle of Filth too and loved it ever since. Their last album dropped this year and it’s pretty good. Genres don’t box me in. If a song sounds good, I’m in, metal or pop. My old desk shows it, SNSD posters and a Slipknot mouse pad. Had some posters on the walls too, plus other stuff cluttering the place. Around 2008 I fell into the K-pop rabbit hole and never climbed out. First favorites were Wonder Girls and SNSD. Still listen to them, along with other groups like f(x) and T-ara. Think I mentioned in another post I’m into IVE and aespa right now, plus a few more. Saw some new popular groups but it’s tough keeping up with them all. Metal’s harder to refresh. I stick to old favorites like Static-X, whose new singer keeps their vibe alive. I listen to what moves me.
