I finally got the chance to watch the new Nintendo Direct today.
HOLY SHIT. This has probably been the best Nintendo Direct in a long time (imo, of course)
There were a lot of announcements for things I'm interested in like Patapon, Rhythm Heaven Groove, and Raidou Kuzunoha remasters (I fangirled a little when I heard Lucien Dodge voicing Narumi and FINALLY PATAPON RECOGNITION TO GET PEOPLE HYPED FOR THAT NEW SPIN-OFF THAT WAS ANNOUNCED SOMETIME AGO- AND ITS ABOUT TIME WE GET A RHYTHM HEAVEN GAME FOR THE SWITCH)
Of course there's Metroid Prime 4's gameplay finally being showed off. I will admit, I'm not big into 3D Metroid; I've only ever played the 2D Metroid games but I will give credit where it's due, the Prime games are really cool and I need to play more of the.
Gradius (For those not in the know, it's an old school arcade shoot-em up) is getting ported to modern consoles which is a cool surprise (At least to me; I'm big into arcade games) I forgot the name of this game but it's a indie rhythm gamw that looks cool, might look into that. There's also a Tamagotchi life-sim game that looks cute, but I'm not interested in the game itself I just think it looks cute and I like Mametchi.
I think virtual game cards are an interesting idea, but the catch to it is that it's local wireless to use them so no mooching off of my friend's games for me |:(
And finally the best game to be announced... TOMADACHI LIFE LIVING THE DREAM!!! Like many others, I've been waiting for a new installment in the Tomadachi series and they finally announced it! I'm very excited for new customization options and I hope that the makeup feature from Miitopia transfers over to this game. Can't wait for the new outfits, accessories, and room designs that'll be in the game too!
This last one wasn't featured in the direct but it was announced around the same time, so it's worth mentioning. NEW SUPER ROBOT WARS GAME BABYYYY!! Super Robot Wars Y to be exact! Getter Robo Arc makes its official debut in this game (It was originally featured in a spin-off iirc, so it technically was already in a SRW game but not a main line one) along with Witch from Mercury. G Gundam and Code Geass make a return to the series! (If I'm remembering right, G Gundam hasn't been in the game since T?? Correct me if I'm wrong. And I haven't played SRW 30 yet) So I'm pretty satisfied with the games that got announced this direct. :)
