The epic of Gilgamesh is highly underrated imo

Its the oldest story ever, it has characters with well established personalities, it tells a compelling journey, (spoilers) enkidus death is genuinely emotional and so is the conclusion gilgamesh comes to at the end, like its a good narrative that he learns that even he cannot escape death

Like for its age, for the time and culture it was written in and to still be so comprehensive in modern English, i mean it's genuinely good as fuck and not a long read at all

It feels like im the only dumbass on earth wjo genuinely enjoys the story for it's characters and plot and shit and not the real life history surroinding it but whatever. Also technically it's boys love. Which is fine.
