Falling in Love with Myself

Its the small things that I love about myself. The voice that I do when I get excited, the way I can always find the good in anyway situation, my imagination, my handwriting when I get excited. The small things feel big when I highlight the glimmers I have. Glimmers are the opposite of triggers and the more I focus on the glimmers the more of the noise and fear in the world fall away. The sun shining through the leaves of a tree, the laughter of children in the street when they play in a broken fire hydrant, walking past a group of people sitting on a stoop sharing good news with each other, when a bird sits on a branch in front of the window at work, a cat making a small meow, the smell of a homecooked meal, and so, so much more. 

The world is on fire but sometimes I can find some beauty in the flames and the reflection of myself in them.
