W.I.P bc I need your help
Catloes:
Strange humanoid cat beings based around elements. Usually around earth, fire, water, and wind, but also other things. Such as: candies, minerals, video games, art supplies, foods, drinks, various children's toys, and about anything you can think ♦f
They can stand at that of 150ft tall, the females being usually 160-200ft tall. The species have that of purrfectly rouNd heads and smooth, thick fur.
Time on their planet is very different from your and mine. A minute there could be 3,000 years here, and 15,000 years here might be a day to them. They don't have aS∪n but have a small moon, so they use a machine to generate a fake sun and warm their planet
There is a dark spot on the northern pole that is slowly growing, created these dark, shadow catloes that wish to end the Light. They seemed to be controlled, and if a catloe is killed by their hand, there is a small chance they might come back as a shadow if not respawned quickly enough
Current list of Catloes of importance:
Nemph: king of Catloe kind, doesn't really know what he's doing. This power was given to him by his ancestor, Nightshade. Has fallen to the shadows before, but was recovered with a sacrifice...
Fireslash/Volcanic Ash: brother of Nemph, is slowly being consumed by his powers, turning into an elemental. Usually lives in his small apartment down the block from Sprinklet's donut shop
Riptide: {file info could not be recovered. Presumed dead or [fractured]}
Bolts: an electric catloe, brother of Nemph. Had a hyper personality until his death by the malfunctioning respawn machine. Will be deeply missed
Vinetails: brother of Nemph, is one of the 130,000,000 earth based catloes. Enjoys tending to a very large tree that appeared behing the Castle of Light a few months ago. Still is trying to remove the odd statues and glowing balls from its tangled νiℕ∈s
Sprinklet: a chocolate donut catloe that runs a small donut shop. Fireslash works with her sometimes because he likes the food
Dreammaker: the only shadow catloe that seems to have been awakened from under the control of [ΓΛΘΠ], has decided to fight along side the Light
Catloes are not the only species on their planet. There are such things as the Foxloes, [file could not be recovered. Presumed deleted or unused], and the Bunnbonns (those things are cute but...terrifying. [Nully] probably created them bc of Mars)
It was just another warm, false-sunny day. The wind blew softly, rustling the fur of the Catloes on the streets bellow
Up in the second highest bedroom of the Castle of Light, rested Nemph. We all know him, with his bright blue fur and incredibly long tail. His bright, glowing sword hung on the nearby wall, waiting to be picked up
Soon, a soft knock was heard from the door
"Oi, Nemph, time to get up"
It was the second most well known Catloe, Vinetails, carrying a tray of hot chocolate into the room like always
"Did'ja hear me? It's half-past noon!"
Upon hearing this, Nemph shot up and out of of his bed, landing on his feet/paws softly like any cat would
"Ah, uh, morning...is it really already that late"
Nemph sounded disappointed, almost like he wanted to be up much earlier
"Why didn't Fireslash come wake me up like he was supposed to?"
Vinetails paused, setting down the tray
"He's...doing that thing again, were his eyes turn all weird and firey and...scary"
Nemph sighed, scratching behind his ear
"So...he's locked up in his lil' volcano to the west?"
Vinetails nodded softly, handing a cup of cooled hot chocolate to him
"Don't think he'll be ou' for the rest o' the day...if something happens, we're doomed"
Nemph patted Vinetails' shoulder softly
"Don't say that, brother. We've fought without him before, and we made it through"
Vinetails shivered, remembering that day
"I jus' don't wanna have to be respawned again...tha' respawn machine is terrifying. And you ain't never been through i', so don't say nothing about i'"
Nemph shrugged, knowing Vinetails was right about the respawn machine. He wasn't the first to bring up how it seemed...off
"I'll check it later...I am the king after all, have to make sure my species is safe...we don't want any more perma-deaths...not after what happened to Bolts..."
Vinetails nodded again
"Electricity been though the roof since he died. Kinda miss his good ol' ligh'ning powers"
*Nemph suddenly had a flashback of what had happened when they tried to respawn Bolts. The way the flesh tore, the screams shattering the ears of anyone near. Catloes don't bleed, but there was definently blood spilling from the machine.
Ever since, the machine has been acting odd, like it was on the verge of shattering
Suddenly, Fireslash stumbled into the room, resting against the doorframe. His body looked...odd, distorted slightly and seeming to glitch like a broken computer screen
"Lesson learned-d, don't f-f-force a respawn onn yourse-lf to calm down the firey rage in yy-yourself!"
He chuckled softly as Nemph and Vinetails stared at him blankly
"Y'know, Nemph," Vinetails said, "This is starting to remind me of the Color Ray when it broke"
Nemph nodded "Yeah, it sort of does. The odd glitchiness, distortions, somehow causing things to happen that shouldn't..."
Fireslash barged in
"But we fixed that damned thing before it got worse, but you still refuse to fix the respawn machine even though it killed Bolts?! What the fu-"
Both Nemph and Vinetails slapped Fireslash
"NO CUSSING, WE LIVE IN A CHILDS STORY"
All he did was laugh softly
"Not anymore...did you forget how our world is now? Do you still want to ignore the obvious decay of this place? We've been forgotten, and we'll all be gone soon..."
Vinetails rolled his tangerine colored eyes, his dark green moss-like fur spiking up in annoyance
Nemph just calmly walked to his desk, grabbing a small bottle of glowing red liquid
"Fireslash, drink this"
Fireslash grabbed the bottle and sipped it slowly, the raging glow in his eyes fading, returning to the normal fire orange color. The fur atop his head stood up, flicking like flames
Nemph, once again, was sleeping in late. This was the second day in a row that Fireslash has failed to wake him up, but we all know why that is.
So, again, came the knocking of Vinetails, carrying his tray of hot chocolate filled cups. Careful to not spill any, he opened the door and sighed at Nemph still sleeping
Catloes didn't even need to sleep, so why would Nemph sleep LATE?? Then again...they don't need to eat or drink, so the hot chocolate was unnecessary too.
"Nnyemph, get uppp. It's half-past noon again." Nemph just grumbled, rolling over to face the glass doors that led to the balcony.
"I'm tired, okay?"
"That ain't possible, Nemph. We don' get tired, remember? Plus, Sprinklet's donuts are fresh baked toda-"
You will never see Nemph get up faster than after hearing fresh donut from Sprinklet. Everyone loved the donuts she made, but she only made fresh donuts every three days due to limited ingredients and a poor oven
The sky flickered [white] as Nemph quickly got dressed in his shorts and worn, gray T-shirt. His shirt used to be green, but the color faded after encountering a certain character from another story. But that is not our main focus of right now, Mars. You deal with who I am talking about enough to know who it is...well, who I am ;>
Grabbing his sword off the wall and strapping it to his back in case something happens, Nemph scooted past Vinetails so he could get some donuts.
Vinetails didn't follow tho. He didn't like donuts, saying they were "too soft" compared to the apples and pears he always ate
Sprinklet's shop was down the street from the Castle of Light. It was small, cozy, and always smelled like baked goods. Sprinklet, of course, made other sugary sweets, but was mainly known for her donuts
She was a donut herself, after all. Or...donut hole? Her head didn't have a hole like a donut...hmm.[Might need to rewrite or change something...what do you think, Reader?]
Uh, anyways-
As Nemph walked in, he saw the familiar glow of...Fireslash? He wasn't used to seeing him outside the Castle or his "little" volcano.
But there he was. Fireslash, working at the beat up and slightly rusted oven, baking the dough with his bare paws. He was always here on his free time helping Sprinklet
So much, in fact, that some Catloes have started suspecting he might have a crush. Fireslash has never confirmed nor denied this, so it is probably true
Nemph, who ordered one cream filled plain donut, sat at the table next to the window. Dark clouds had started rolling in, lightning flashing through them
Oh, so here we are again. You really want to read their story, huh?
Roughly four days since the last time you were here, a lot has changed...not
It's been 11 days for the Catloes. Anyways, enough yammering. Let's get started
Nemph was walking back to the Castle after visiting Sprinklet's shop, carrying a bag of three strawberry donuts, his usual
As he walked, he couldn't help but feel uneasy. Someone, or something was watching him. He could feel their eyes on his fur, causing it to spike up slightly
Glancing around, he didn't see anything, missing the strange tree that turned black with a white outline before it disappeared. Eventually, Nemph looked down, seeing the tiny Bunnbonns following him
The Bunnbonns, two of them, looked...odd. One had gray and caramel colored fur and was wearing a sweater too big for it. The other one was the color of fresh bread and wore a fake tail and fox ears, its eyes pointed right at Nemphss donut bag
He didn't know what a Bunnbonn really was, except that they were..."references". Or that's what he was told by Scorch, the only self-aware Catloe who knows about the "story" and "fourth wall" and...all that.
Feeling creeped out, Nemph tried to push away the bread colored Bunnbonn, but it grabbed his paw and slammed him into the ground, grabbed his donut bad, and ran off before he could do anything.
Getting up and rubbing his head, Nemph looked at the other Bunnbonn. It waved at him before scrambling off into a hole in [file.reality_barrier]
Wait, into what?
What was Nemph doing again?
"...I kinda want some donuts...eh, I should get back to the castle first."
hh, poor old Nemph, pushed aside by the newer, cooler stories. But how about we change that
Instead of a new story, it's new characters...
Honeywhisker was tending to her flowers outside her house, which looked like every other house down the street for the next mile. Her fur glistened dark golden as she watered the grass, waiting for her best friend, Pizzapurr, to get there
Just as she was about to head inside as the false sun set, she saw him. His cheesy fur, his red eyes, even the pizza crust tail he had was visible from where she was.
He was running towards her, a sworm of hungry and angry Bunnbonns chasing him. Sweeping by Honeywhisker, he pulled her into the house and slammed the door, breathing heavily and trying to hold back a laugh
Patting his shoulder, Honeywhisker spoke in her soft voice. "Are you okay, Pizzapurr?"
Pizzapurr turned to looks at her, grinning slightly. The scar across his left eye was more visible than usual
"Never been better, m'dude. Heheh, those little gremlins never let up, do they?"
As he said that, a couple of Bunnbonns hit the door, yelling in their strange little language of yips and yaps that really just made them sound like the bunnies they were
Sitting down of the sofa softly, Pizzapurr pulled something from his pocket and tossed it to Honeywhisker, who caught it with her tail calmly
"Gotcha a new thingy of your eye stuff that makes you look pretty"
"It's called eyeliner, Pizzapurr. Why can't you remember this after the fifty-seven times I've told you this week?"
"Ey, don't get annoyed at me! Y'know that I barely remember anything these days...not since the-"
Honeywhisker cut him off by pressing her tail to his face, rolling her eyes
"Yes, ever since that "weird dark human with the blocked eyes" tried to carve a piece of your face off. But that can't be the only issue, you shouldn't forget this easily...do you even remember my middle name?"
Pizzapurr giggled softly and patted her tail
"Honey Bunch Whisker. Hard to not remember that one, heh"
Honeywhisker just sighed. She loved this idiot too much to get mad at him.
"And mine is Cheddar. Pizza Cheddar Purr, at your service. Not really though, unless you need spray paint or skateboard lessons"
Honeywhisker sat on the couch next to Pizzapurr, leaning against him slightly. Grabbing the remote with her tail and turning on the TV to a random show
"I've been meaning to ask you something, Pizzapurr..."
Hmm, that got boring fast...maybe we should take aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa lø•k at another Catlo3
Sounds of ruffling paper of notebooks
Let us sssssssee who we have...hmmm
You. You choose from this list:
Tok and Tik Fireslash Dreammaker Notey Bolts {Do not choose this} Bomberpaws
Anyways, in the meantime...
Sprinklet is my choice. Boring, but fun
It was just another slow day in the shop. Gray clouds were rolling in again, even though it had just stopped raining two days ago. Nemph had just came in and ordered his usual strawberry donuts, but asked for cream filling with them
It was odd, for sure. Nemph didn't like cream filled donuts, he was slightly allergic to them. So Sprinklet made sure to only add very little
As she sat behind her counter, wiping some off her chocolate icing out of her eyes, she saw the familiar glow of Fireslash, coming in for another day of work.
She never understood why he did this, he didn't ask for pay or anything. She tried to offer Fireslash some coins the first time, but he shook his head
Sprinklet wished she could ask him why. She wanted to ask him so many things. But shyness was her best friend, so she never spoke to him
But today would be different, she decided. As Fireslash walked into the shop, Sprinklet walked over to him and gave him a hug.
"Thanks for all the help..."
Fireslash gave her a pat on the shoulder, looking around the shop in mild confusion
"Uhm, yeh...you're welcome. Totally doing this because I enjoy the food and not anything else..."
Sprinklet wasn't good with hints. She quickly (but carefully) scrambled behind the counter again, fixing her stool as she waited for any customers. Fireslash let out a soft sigh as he put on an apron, watching Sprinklet stare at the darkening clouds

Bunnbonns are small, humanoid creatures that lurk inside different stories under C.H.A.O.S and The Creator. Known for causing havoc and errors to happen, they are usually deleted on sight or used as references in stories
Only standing at about one foot tall, the "blank" expression of Bunnbonns are always :3
Prefer to roam around causing mischief wherever they go, but some, such as Bunnbonn Mars, prefer to be respectful to those around them and NOT tear holes in reality that reset the day back to its start and cause [null]omalies >:/
Bunnbonns do not have any proper fingers or toes, just bunny-like paws (no shit, they're BUNNbonns, based of BUNNies)
Reference Bunnbonns will somehow find and dress up in clothing similar to the person they are referencing
Do not ask why [Nully] has no Bunnbonn. Not everything has to be centered around [me] anymore

Damnit. Fine
<TWENTY MINUTES AFTER NEMPH'S FALL.>
It was cold, and the floor...ground...wait. Where was Nemph?
Sitting up and rubbing his sore head, Nemph opened his eyes and looked around. It was just darkness around his, speckles of red glowing faintly in the spongey material he was on
Getting up on his paws, he walked around. Just as he thought, there was an opening in the wall that led down a tunnel of sorts. There was a cart track, but it certainly wasn't a mineshaft
Nemph had been here once before. And he didn't want to be back here again
Walking down the tunnel, he pulled out his sword, which glowed faintly blue like his Essence (Essence is a Catloes "blood"). The glow didn't do much to light up the walls, but it was enough to show the hands, human hands, reaching at him.
One slightly longer hand grabbed Nemph's tail, causing him to quickly turn and slice it in half. Stomping on it a few times, he kept walking until he reached a ladder
Knowing where it led, he climbed it. Making sure he went fast to avoid whatever happened before from happening again, he grabbed onto the ledge and swung himself up
Looking around, he noted he was in a large cave. The red glow was brighter here, almost like a skulk-liike moss...though, why would something Minecraft related be in their world? Did one of my files bleed again-
Rewinding cassette tape sounds {Welcome, user 90-1}
No? Huh...odd. Oh, anyways- {Goodbye, user 90-1}
Walking over to a hatch in the ceiling, Nemph swung his tail up and yanked it open. He thought he was going to see the "sunlight", he instead saw darkness. Something watched him for a moment, his body seeming to be made of a darkness of some kind, contain by a white outline
For some reason, Nemph couldn't see its eyes. But before he could question who that was, light flooded back into the cave. Quickly climbing out, he looked around
There was no trace of anything that had just happened except the missing tree.

Water was good for plants, but not this much. Stepping outside was like having the whole Water Kingdom dumped on your head three thousand a second. And it was irritating Vinetails more than anything
Vinetails was usually ok with the storms because they never got too bad. But the the actual Nightshade was going on? Four thunderstorms flooding the Light Kingdom in two weeks?
Something was way up, and Vinetails was going to find out what it was. Stomping out of his house with an iron umbrella and his old rainboots, he pushed against the tornado force winds and painfully made his way to Riptide's hut
Banging on the door, it was quickly opened and Vinetails was quickly dragged inside by Riptide, who dropped him on the sandy floor
Ew, sand. It was gonna be trapped in his fur for weeks now...but whatever. Getting up and dusting himself off as best he could, Vinetails (Imma just call him Vine) opened his mouth to speak.
Before he could get a word out, Riptide raised his hand to silence him. "No, whatever voidstorm is going outside is not my fault. And it doesn't have anything to do with Puffy up there"
Puffy...Vine hadn't heard from him in awhile. Being the only truly fluffy Catloe, Puffy(Puffcloud) wasn't a very nice guy and caused massive storms to annoy others. But if this wasn't the doing of Riptide or Puffy, then who was doing this?
Vine sat down heavily, sighing softly. There was no way he was going outside until the storm was over. Riptide should be ok with at least one of his soul brothers staying over, right...?
No. Just as Vine was about to ask if he could stay, the door opened behind him and Riptide kicked him out, watching him get yanked by the strong winds
Next thing he knew, Vine was pinned against the tree with bits of his mossy fur getting pulled off by the thrashing branches. But this was fine, as Vine could just sink into the tree and travel through the roots of any nearby plant
Doing just that, Vine quickly bent and turned his way back to the Castle of Light, dropping onto the floor of the receptionist's desk, which had a small clay flower pot with a dark purple plant growing in it
Next to it was Vine's favorite mug. A slightly-smaller-than-the-pot white mug with a pink, white, and blue handle(did this mean something? Vine wasn't sure), it was the purrfect size for an early morning cup of coffee that lasted three sips
Scooting up and getting to his paws, just for a moment, Vine thought he saw a dark figure standing in the corner. A familiar dark shadow with a shaky white outline...
"N...Nully?"
[It's [Nully], you greenleaf]
Vine's fur spiked up at the Catloe insult, staring at the figure in annoyance. He leaned over the desk and whispered in a harsh voice
"Why are you here?! Get out!!"
[Just wanted to warn you that things are to change in soon made. The storm is just the beginning]
[Nully]'s body crunched in an odd way that reminded Vine of Bolts' breaking bones when the Respawn Machine failed, [Nully]'s body lengthening. HIs flesh seemed to pull apart as his spine grew long in a spring shape, long enough for him to lean over Vine from the corner, his voice distorting to a low hum
[I suggest you tell no one about this, or I will carve your face off like how I failed with Pizzapurr. Scorch already knows]
A clock alarm went off somewhere inside [Nully]'s body, and the strange being disappeared. Vine stood there in confusion, wondering who Pizzapurr was. Maybe he was a non-existent, a Catloe made by ai or...something
Maybe [Nully] had just made him up to scare Vine. But that never worked. He had stared Death and Tik and Tok in the face and was barely startled that they all could occupy the same reality at once
Vine would barely care if the ancestor of Nemph, Nightshade, would come strolling in at his 9'9 height right now and ask for a room in the castle to sleep in
Speaking of which...it was somehow already one in the afternoon, so he should probably go get Nemph. Going off to the kitchen to make some hot chocolate, he felt something odd in his chest. A tight, cold feeling that made him drop his tray
Vine fell to his hands and knees, trying to breathe. Something was wrong, he felt a strange beating in his body...
Was that a heartbeat he was feeling??!?
Catloes didn't have organs, just a spinning, small crystal ball in their chests that flowed Essence through their bodies. So why could he feel the the air going into his lungs, feel his heart beating, feel his stomach tighten in sickness from theses unusual feelings?
Stumbling upright, Vine blinked a few times, his eyes drying. The feeling of sickness passed, but the heartbeat stayed. What had that stupid shadow done...

Pizzapurr was just a silly, chill Catloe. But being made of food wasn't very good in Long Road
Long Road was a strange place. A singular long road with the same three story house in different colors lining it, things got more distorted the further you went. It was also where a larger-than-normal amount of Catloes and Bunnbonns lived
He was a prankster, a jokester, and a biiit of a collector. He was also the best friend of Honeywhisker ever since when, for a prank, he bit a piece of her head off.
After she yelled at him for about ten minutes, he started following her around every day, pestering her non-stop if she was okay and if she had enough honey to fix the damage he caused.
Weird way to become friends, he was sure. But that's how it happened, and it was honestly fun to think about. He even visited her every day, just so he could teach her how to fight and run from Bunnbonns
But today, Pizzapurr wouldn't be visiting Honeywhisker. He was going to visit Stoneclaw for help for something Honeywhisker asked him about a few days ago
Knocking of the blurry and distorted door of house #639, Red Haunt, Stoneclaw answered quickly but quietly, pushing Pizzapurr inside and watching for any Bunnbonns or the recent [null]omalies
"Where you followed?"
"Nah, m'dude. Made sure of that"
Pizza purr tapped the small knife he had stuck in his stomach. It didn't hurt him, and he had no pockets, so he hid it there. Weapons weren't allowed in Long Road, and the {';'} made sure nobody got there hands on one
Thankfully, {','} was an older, faulty ai system that ran off two triple A batteries and ran around on rusty wheels that everycat kept repairing every day
Unfortunately, there were very few Catloes in long Road. Only Pizzapurr, Stoneclaw, Honeywhisker, Aqua, and Flamefur were still alive amongst the roughly twenty-thousand Bunnbonns that roamed the streets at night
Pizzapurr would have loved to have gotten a Bunnbonn and had it dress up like Honeywhisker as a joke, but he'd get torn to chunks of dough if he stayed outside past 11:00 PM...
Running a finger down the handle of his knife, he turned to Stoneclaw and pulled some gems from his pocket. One was round, blue, and was dripping something glowing blue like Essence. The other two were dark and cracked
"Can you fix these lil' guys for me and Honeywhisker, Stones?"
Stoneclaw stared at the gems for a moment, very carefully pulling them into his paws
"Er, could take me a hot while...possibly three or four days with what I have..."
Pizzapurr pulled out a stone carving tool and raised one cheesy eyebrow
"Oh, make that two days then. Gimme that-"
Stoneclaw yanked the carving tool from Pizzapurr and put it on the shelf with his mini statues, made to look like falling humans. He had last a few of them in a plant that looked like a strange, messed up tree with glowing lights hanging from its vines once
"Get to work on these hearts quickly, please. They're...important, according to Honey"
Stoneclaw let out a low grumble
"I could tell"

...have fun with this.
Three hours after the storm started. Three hours after something changed in him. And he couldn't figure out what was wrong with him
Vine was shaking, dizzy still. For the first time, he felt things he thought Catloes didn't feel. Hunger, exhaustion, bruises, dehydration...none of this was normal. The pain in his chest was only growing slowly
Stumbling to the bathroom for the fourth time, Vine stared into the mirror. Something green-ish red dripped from his mouth, thick and coppery smelling.
Wiping it from his face, he felt too weak to stand. Falling to the floor, he stared up at the ceiling as multiple shade of colors became visible to his tangerine colored eyes
This was the beginning of the changes, wasn't it?
[----- MONTHS LATER]
Riptide was back in his hut, folding his spare foam blankets and putting them under his coral bed. He was just waiting for it to happen soon-the change
Most other Catloes had already has their change, and they all told him how painful it was and that he would "hate it" or...something stupid like that
But what was a bit of pain to become bigger and stronger? NOTHING!! When it happened, he would be so much better at fighting those crazed weird shadows
As he finally sat down on the slightly higher spot of sand of his hut's floor, he felt a tightness in his chest. A cold, unwelcome feeling started seeping into his body, but excitement distracted him from it
Was this it? Was the change finally happening? Would he finally has a real reason to going to bed everynight? These thoughts were cut off as a sharp pain went through him, causing him to curl up
So this was the pain they meant. It quickly spread through his body like a worming parasite in a fish, ripping apart his inside. Riptide's fur and body darkened in color, the water becoming much denser
He felt dizzy and sick, but he forced himself to stand. There was no way he was going to just LAY THERE in a ball of STUPIDITY crying about how much it "hurt"
Clenching his fist, Riptide felt...different. He looked at his paws, realizing his strength was growing. Wanting to test this, he punched the wall of his his hut as hard as he could
"OOWWWW!!!!"
He grabbed his wrist in pain, shaking his paw. Wiping a few tears of pain away, he looked down at his paw. It hurt and felt stiff with pain, having accidentally ripped out one his claws almost fully off
Shaking it again, he nodded his head. Riptides' body now had limitations on what he could do, and he had to remember that or he would hurt himself more
Dipping his paws in the basin full of sea water, the ache slowly went away as he absorbed the minerals into his body. Today was going to be a figure-out-how-this-body-works-now day, he could train tomorrow...or maybe later, if he learned quickly

AAAH-
Long Road was changing, rapidly. All Pizzapurr could remember that morning was waking up outside his house with a part of his head missing and the sky being blindingly bright white
Getting up, he checked his watch, only to see time was completely out of its mind. Panicking as he looked around, he went to the only place his melting mind could remember:
Honeywhiskers' house
Stumbling slightly as glowing, blinding white light, similar to what the sky looked like, poured from his head. Shakily running down the street, he vaguely glanced at the colors and numbers
#758, red
#258, dark green
#0331,a mix of caramel and grays
#5790, a mix of black and reds
#4208, the color of-
"HONEYWHISKER!!"
Pizzapurr yelled out, banging on the door for no response. Quickly running out to the backyard, he slammed his body through the glass sliding doors
'Why did I do that? Now the Bunnbonns can get in...'
He felt woozy as he stood, his vision fading to a brighter color. Crawling up the stairs in an attempt to get to the upper floor, he grabbed onto the black spike that stuck from the wall
'That wasn't there before...touching it makes everything look whiter...'
Finally reaching the top and collapsing onto the hallway floor, he felt the house shift. Everything tilted forward, then back, then shook as he felt the sensation of falling for just a moment
Whatever was wrong with the sky was spreading to the ground, tearing chunks of it away. Pizzapurr knew that the ground was deeper than a foot or two, but the whiteness tore a hole that made in look like it was, dropping them on a lower level of Long Road
Standing up, he suddenly felt his mind clear. Honeywhisker wasn't here, and this house was going to fall into the white glow any second now, with him still in it
Quickly running back down the stairs, he grabbing a few things Honeywhisker would want and kicked the door open. As he stepped outside, he saw a crowd of Bunnbonns
They were all facing the other way, bunched together in an U shape. He couldn't see the faces of them, but he could see they were shaking and that strange white crack were spreading through their tiny bodies
And he knew that if he didn't do something, he would be the same. Pizzapurr felt the cracks forming in his face, but his mind and vision remained clear.
Taking a few deep breathes, he looked up. As he thought, the layer of Long Road was crumbling apart. He could see the houses, breaking apart and dissolving into that strange glow
Turning around, he started walking, not noticing the houses to the left turning black with shaky white outlines and then disappearing. He yanked the knife from his belly, holding it at his side, ready to stab anything that tried to attack him or if he saw anything attacking Honeywhisker
"...I need to find them. I need to get them out of here before we're all consumed..."
As he walked, he never heard the footsteps behind, belonging to someone with puffed green hair and a clock with golden for a face
Rot
Eyes
Moths
Lies
Riptide wasn't sure how long he had been walking down this road now. He was completely by himself, since Pizzapurr had...well, it was hard to explain what had happened to him
Clearly Pizzapurr hadn't [fractured] in any way yet, but it had definently shattered into billions of tiny pieces. Red pieces which faded and crumbled into pixels of nothing
Now all Riptide could do was continue walking down the road, watching as the houses slowly got more distorted the farther he went down. Soon, as he could see, the houses would stop entirely
After finally reaching where the road "ended" (or where it just dropped off into the [fracture]), Riptide stood in front of a door with the numbers "05790" carved into it. The area around it felt...cold
Grabbed the door's handle and slowly turning it, Riptide peaked inside and was immediately hit with nausea. On the other side of the doorway was what seemed to be a catwalk of sorts, almost completely dark except for blaring red alarms
Cautiously taking an unsteady step inside, holding tightly onto the low railing, Riptide looked around. As far as he could see, there was no floor and no walls. He also couldn't see where the catwalk ended or where the lights of the alarms were, even though they seemed close
Looking up, he could see dozens of other catwalks above him. It was the same below him, so if he fell, he'd hit one of them not too far down for sure. That made him feel no better, maybe even worse
Carefully taking short pawsteps across the catwalk, Riptide kept his eyes focused in front of him. He was starting to remember that when he was much younger, he had a deep fear of heights. This old fear was made much worse by the fact he couldn't see any ground down below
If he stared hard enough, he could've sworn that there were other figures on the distant pathways. Tall or short, different colors, glowing or even absorbing the light around them. It felt like they all had their heads turned to watch him
The alarms seemed like they only kept getting louder, a long wail that sounded vaguely like a scream which was cut off by four short bursts of static. UNder all that was what sounded like a voice over a speaker repeating the words "331, 57, 579, and 482 under lockdown"
Just as Riptide was able to fully make out what the voice was saying, all other sounds were cut by a long screeching of metal. The catwalks around him turned red and pixelated, glitching like a broken arcade game before crumbling away
Just a few feet in front of him, a twitchy red outline of lightning formed into a broken humanoid shape. The...thing raised a hand over its head, holding what looked like something sharp
[Yo u s h oul dn't be her e]
Before Riptide had time to do anything or even register what he was looking at, the figure stabbed him straight in the neck. Riptide fell to his knees, choking as a burning feeling crawled across his body
It felt like every atom of him was heating up and pulling themselves apart before bashing together and dissolving. He could feel what seemed to be the symbol of an eye melting into where he was stabbed
Watching as his paws crumbled into tiny red pixels, Riptide looked up at the figure. Just before his vision faded, he could see that the thing that stood above him was shadow-like with a red outline and a red censor bar where eyes should've been
...
...
...
As Riptide open his eyes, he felt dizzy. Trying to move his head felt more painful than when he almost broke his hand after he started feeling pain. Turning his eyes to the left, he could see many other Catloes hanging upside down around him, making him realize he was upside down as well
Turning his body to the right, he could see Pizzapurr right next to him, who was grinning like an idiot...for some reason
"Yo, been waiting for you for like, two weeks! Welcome to Storage"
{[So, you're here again]}
[And?]
{[...good luck :) ]}
[...whatever]
It had started getting weirdly warm the past few...days? Weeks? Fireslash couldn't exactly...remember all that well
His thoughts had seemed so out of order the last month. All he could really remember was "Why was the sky white?" Not like that mattered much, right?
Fireslash had decided to leave his shift at Sprinklet's Shop a little early because of a call from a slightly panicked sounding V1netails. Upon entering the Castle of Light's check in desk, he immediately saw what was wrong
Sitting at a table with Nemph, who's stomach was rapped in bandages with his sword dripping blood, was a dark blue Catloe Fireslash had never seen before
She looked similar to Nemph a bit. If they didn't know better, Fireslash and Vinetails might think she was his long-dead mom
Having noticed the two standing there and watching, Nemph waved them over. As they approached, Nemph pulled two extra chairs from *&^$#!
[What?]
Error encountered :[
[Oh. Nothing damaging, right?]
No, but-
[Then I don't care. As long as what remains of the files stay stable, we'll be fine]
...ok
As Fireslash and Vinetails sat down on the other side of the table from Nemph and the other Catloe, Nemph leaned forward a bit, his eyes having a slight shine to them that hadn't been there in...a long time
"So, you guys probably don't know who this is. Say hi to Nyla, my mother!"
Fireslash and Vinetails slowly turned to look at each other before turning back to Nemph. Fireslash pointed at Nemph's stomach, then to his sword
"D-did y0u preform a blood ritUal⸘"
Nemph went still, his smile fading a bit
"Yes, I did. Do you have a problem with it?"
Fireslash rubbed his face, feeling that his fur felt...{[cracked]}. He might need to take a short lava bath later
"N0t really, jUst as long as you'rE okay"
Fireslash looked at...what was her named, Nyla? Her fur was a bit darker than Nemph's, like the sky right before the sunrise starts. Her hair covered part of her faced and had a white flower in it
Vinetails face twitched slightly as he stood up, tucking his chair in and walking to the bathroom. For just a moment, Fireslash thought his eyes were empty, glowing white

{{File end}}
As Vinetails pushes the bathroom door open, his legs wobbled. He quickly shut the door behind him and went over to the sink, glaring into the mirror
He knew what he felt. He knew Fireslash had seen it too. Something was wrong, and nobody seemed to remember why
But Vinetails did. He remembered watching the sky fall. He remembered watching the tall, white figure with a smiling, pitch black mouth and empty eye sockets pull people into the light
He remembered watching as his vines and leaves rotted and wilted, molding much quicker than should be possible
As he stared into the mirror, Vinetails noticed the oddity again. If he focused hard enough, he could see that his eyes were actually empty white and had small cracks around them
He blinked, and it went away along with the strange static he didn't realize he was hearing until it went away. The pressure in his head didn't fade, though
Why couldn't he hear the voices of Nemph and Fireslash anymore?
As Vinetails turned around to leave the bathroom, he almost walked off into nothingness. The rest of the bathroom and hallway was missing, just empty white light
Chunks of the castle floated near him, along with things he didn't recognize. A car floated by slowly, a gold rim clock shattered into pieces, and what looked like a person made of wax was burning in white flames
So that's why he shouldn't try to see past the barrier. Vinetails could see the truth, and he wished he couldn't. His hands were cracked and shaky with that same glowy light, and his body was held up by strange strings
As Fireslash leaned back in his chair while Nemph and Nyla yapped on about the "royal" family, he heard a shattering sound from the bathroom. The room went silent before a very angry Vinetails came stomping out of the hallway, holding a piece of broken mirror
Vinetails quickly ran at Nemph and Nyla and slashed the shard just above their heads, making both of them disappear in a flash of white light
Fireslash scrambled quickly out of his chair, falling hard onto his back and scooting away from Vinetails as he approached him
"I understand ye may hate me for this, but I'm saving your life"
And before Fireslash could doge him, Vinetails slashed something just above his head. In the span of half a blink, he felt dizzy and rock under him
Covering his eyes from the harsh glow of the sky, Fireslash sat up slowly. Something seemed to be drifting down from his body, letting his body relax from tension he hadn't known was there
As Fireslash tried to say something, he realized he couldn't feel his mouth. Reaching up to touch it, he felt...nothing. Just sharp, jagged edges that cut his paw slightly
Before he could react at all, he felt someone grab the back of his shirt and lift him up onto his feet. Turning his head slightly, he saw Nemph, who's left eye was empty white
Nyla layed on the ground near them, small white cracks looping her arms and legs. Out of all three of them, she seemed the most...undamaged?
On the other paw was vinetails, who's body was almost entirely white and getting worse. Only about his torso and his upper left face was still him, and that was fading fast
The glass shard fell from his grip as he fell over, right off the edge of the chunk of the rock they stood on. The way his body twisted looked like something had dragged him down
Fireslash turned to Nemph, clenching his paws slightly as Nyla sat up with Nemph's help.
This isn't right
