So, something that I've been really excited about is modding my 3ds. When i was younger, our family didn't have the most money, so i literally only had 2 zelda games and scribblenauts for the longest time LOL. But since i finally modded it I can finally play all those games i missed out on.
While i'm not getting overwhelmed by the amount of choices i have,,, im going to blog about each game I start and give my thoughts. So far i've started a whole ton, that being MH4U, Fire Emblem Awakening, Mario and Luigi Dream Team, Kirby Triple Deluxe, and Shin Megami Tensei 4. I haven't gotten particularly far in any of these games, but they're the ones that caught my eye.
I've also downloaded a whole bunch more than that lol. If anyone has any other suggestions on 3ds games i'd love to hear it!

3ds is the best system ever….
personally been saving for a new one to mod myself because i gave my little brother mine when his broke a couple years back but lately ive been having fun with a ds lite with a flash cart :3
as for recs my favs on the system (and some on ds also)
- animal crossing new leaf (def the game i played the most on the system and the best in the series)
- kid icarus: uprising (it has a really weird control scheme and included a stand you could use that if you can find get as it makes the game way easier but despite that is a super fun and super addictive action game that really isnt like anything else ive ever played, and is still probably in my top 5 nintendo games)
- ocarina of time, majora’s mask, and star fox 64 remakes (some of the best and most iconic nintendo games in their best form. i think each of these are the definitive ways to play these games. star fox 64 is great for quick bursts and is super repayable, oot is a game i have lots of issues with but still love for its vibe and story and majora’s mask is like the best game ever! my second favorite zelda game right after….
- link between worlds (only caveat i would give is i really highly recommend playing link to the past before if you havent, which had a e shop port i played a few times!, but other than that i see this as the peak of the series, super creative and fun as well as having a gorgeous art style. if you like this and havent played link’s awakening would also reccomend!)
- shovel knight (really fun retro platformer with gorgeous art and a banging soundtrack)
- rhythm heaven (imo thee rhythm game to play no matter who you are, super quirky and funny and tough to master.)
- super mario 3D land
(first game i got for the system and ended up beating like 6 times. really great example of the capabilities of the console despite being an early title.)

im hoping to get a new DS soon cause my 2dsxl is on life support and I want to mod something that doesn't even turn on bc I cant figure out if its a ribbon cable or a bad battery LMFAO, I def recc tomodachi life & miitopia!!!! its so silly and fun, and def the TLOZ and kirby game series, pokemon sun and moon too!!!

i actually have so many suggestions and recs LOLLL. NDS/N3DS are my fav consoles.
For the 3DS I recommend to try Fantasy Life (super underrated imo) and to catch up on all the zelda titles you missed! (But I'm biasad towards Zelda LOLLL it's my fav series)
There are also a lot of DS games worth playing, like Ghost Trick, the original Ace Attorney trilogy, The World Ends with You, 999, pokemon BW2, Rune factory 3
When it comes to series look for: games from Professor Layton, Harvest Moon, Wariowere, Rythm Heaven, Pokemon (both mainline and spinoffs like mystery dungeon), Animal Crossing.

thank you so so much for he recs!! i have actually played the first ace attorney game on PC, but i just downloaded the trilogy as well as the apollo justice games. I also managed to snag the professor layton games, and i plan to play phantom hourglass at some point soon :3
zelda is also my fav nintendo title!!! ive played a lot of the mainline console games except for LTTP, twilight princess (ive played through like half of the game?), and skyward sword + the ds zeldas. my favorite atm would have to be majoras mask >:3

rhythm heaven and harvest moon seem like such fun games on DS, im so glad were getting new entries for switch loll!!

Yes!! I'm so happy those series are getting new entries. Some of my fave series like earthbound and magician's quest unfortunately are no longer being gproduced..

yeah, I wish I could play earthbound honestly, esp given how much people say the series is a masterpiece in a lot of ways; and since it's basically the reason we have Undertale which is top tier for indie titles

earthbound is probably my favorite nintendo game tbh. it subverts your expectations as an rpg and is one of the best of its time. im also a sucker for jrpgs so im biased :P:, but i do think its one of the best older rpgs frankly

Earthbound was my fave for a long time!! Honestly Earthbound has been so influencial for videogames of its genre it's kinda crazy how underrated it is. But it's understandable considering it never got properly remastered or any new entries in the series past mother 3. I still play it on my phone with an emulator from time to time :-)
