walking around my lovely old city <3

yesterday I was feeling sad because I had to distance myself from a toxic friend who I thought was good. I didn't take my antidepressants and antipsychotics so I wasn't feeling good, so I decided to go and walk around the oldest parts of my city!

I live in Belém, that was one of the first cities in Brazil to get colonized. I walked around without a place in mind, I then took a break at the mall to drink water and answer my friends' texts.

then, I left the mall and walked towards one of the oldest parks here: Batista Campos Park, it's so pretty in there. I took little to no photos because I was just so I'm love with the architecture, and then I went to the Cemetery Park of Soledade, the first cemetery to be built here in Belém (I believe so, if not, then it's one of the oldest and there's a lot of important people buried there).

there was a small church with a novelty going on, and I decided to stick around even if I'm not religious. the place was great, and then I had a talk with an old man. I was wearing a Metallica shirt, he saw it and said he liked Sepultura - a brazilian heavy metal band. we talked about many topics and then we bid goodbye and I went home, feeling so much better.
