I'm sorry but, the education system in the Philippines is absolute SHIT.
Studies like the 2022 Program for International Students Association (PISA) have proven that Filipino students are behind SIX YEARS on education alone. Mind you, students who took the PISA test were and still are required to be 15 years of age. Meaning if those 15 year olds are 6 years behind, they have the intelligence of a 4th GRADER. And personally, most Filipinos I've met are fvck1ng stupid. And before you call me xenophobic, I'm Filipino myself.
The grading system is also shit. The passing grade is 75% and up, 99-100% being the the best. This type of pressure results to some students abandoning their studies, and these even result into su1c1d3. Study shown that over 13,000 students committed su1c1d3 in 2022 because of academic pressure.
Many reasons of the learning crisis are: Lack of Resources: Many public schools lack adequate resources, including classrooms and materials. Outdated Teaching Methods: Some argue that teaching methods are not up-to-date and effective. Pandemic-Induced Learning Loss: The COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent disruptions to education have exacerbated learning gaps. Malnutrition and Poverty: Malnutrition and poverty can hinder children's ability to learn. Access: Some students face difficulties accessing schools due to geographical barriers or financial constraints.
Some teachers know how to teach, to actually do their job, while some just make students do their school work after not even discussing the topic they're suppose to learn before doing the school work.
And sometimes, its not the teachers fault but the other students. Most teenage boys in the Philippines are part of 'Geng geng' or self-proclaimed 'gangsters' often interrupting teachers.
What do you think about the Philippines education system?

helloww im also a filipino and i think ur right! im saying this coming from a school with kinda good education and has smart students so im not sure will be able to relate with some of the stuffs u said, but seeing alot of students that lack knowledge or nahihirapan sa school is rlly sad to see and its all because of the ververyy stupid education system,, and also some teachers fr need to learn how to teach or give less projects, since alot of students would stay up late to study/review or do their projects! i feel bad for all these ppl & hope they fix it bc its frfr very shitty
