im so grown up (me when i lie)

i decided i would do something interesting with my life and i installed a windows xp virtual machine on virtualbox! surprisingly easy when you compare it to bochs. anyways at first i installed 32bit for some reason because im stupid so that wouldnt run anything but i liked it because guest additions worked well therefore direct3d worked.this weekend i installed the 64bit version, broke it during windows legacy updates and had to reinstall it again, got all the updates and yeah that was working nice but none of the virtualbox guest additions graphics thingies are working with direct3d on 64bit so im cooked if games need that

 but its not like i play 3d games anyways im a deltarune kid im pretty sure deltarune will be finei spent a long time trying to get that working and then gave up because windows xp is obsolete anyway and a bunch of people had the same unfixable problem so it is what it is. anyways then i was like ah i guess i shluld get email working and of course i dont know why i even tried, outlook express 6 is not working surprise surprise! my original goal was to get msn messenger working but i gave up on that because i didnt feel like patching it myself but ill do that next week.

anyways i found this super cool thing called oec (outlook express classic) and it works pretty good right its amazing it works it just leaves like a watermark or whatever on your emails that you send through it but hey a small price to pay for a really cool free service!! but i tried to log in with google (i hate google so much but i use gmail because its everywhere and free to sign up and not too much of a hassle so thats my main email) and its like Ohohoh nuh uh uh you gotta have j4vascript now because JUST THIS YEAR they decided that to do anything you have to have j4vascript enabled which my old somehow functioning internet explorer 8 doesn't like.

so i spent a long ass time trying to get j4va working but instead of downloading the installer it was 12am and i was tired and instead i downloaded the files that the installer would provide in a .tar.gz file and instead of manually installing it i was like oh yeah aha i converted it into a zip with power iso and i unzipped it in my downloads surely this should work!! oh why isnt it working?

so i finally actually watch a youtube video on it which i hate doing because i aint listening to allat because i read that google is only compatible with j4va 8 and up. so even though j4va says j4va 8 doesnt support xp it still works so i got j4va 8 and... it didnt work! so im like ahhh whats wrong and for once i had common sense and thought maybe internet explorer is outdated and doesnt work! just like how its been for the past however many years.

anyways i looked at the video again and the guy was using mypal instead of internet explorer so i got mypal. which is an internet browser pretty much specifically made to be compatible with windows xp and that worked! so i finally linked up my google email to oec and boom i can send emails from a nice old looking email thingy with the risk of oe classic sending out profanities to all i know without my knowledge!!
