What is love?

What is Love, i can say “i love you” without a problem but what makes it true? What makes the Love true?

When i was five a boy from my class would hit me every day, I wouldn’t let him and he was weak anyway, I remember asking the mom of my friend why would he hit me and she said that it was probably because he had a crush on me and didn’t know how to act, the funny thing is that a week later he tried to kiss me, is that love? 

I used to go to my grandma’s house every week twice to eat, she would always comment on how my dress hat to much colours or why was I wearing sandals, even though it was summer, she said it was probably my latin mom who did that to me, made me wear ugly clothes from her country,is that love

Is love an upgraded friendship? I hear people say it is but I don’t think so i think there must be more, because i can be friends with almost anyone but i will not get together with those friends, even though in theory we are so close I could call that a relationship.

I wonder what you feel wen you are so comfortable with someone and overall happy.
