Three Radikal Rekerds #19: Soft Sacred Shadow Saints

Dernière Volonté, Les Blessures De L'Ombre
Genre: Military Pop/Neo-Folk
Standout track: La Source
Nearly forgot about this one in the depths of my bandcamp collection! A classic record from the French musician Geoffroy Delacroix, that saw the sound of Dernière Volonté transform from a martial industrial project into a more traditional "verse-chorus" direction. The result is an epic album of exceptionally memorable Gallic anthems.

Julia Byrne, Rooms With Walls and Windows
Genre: Folk/Ambient
Standout track: Young Wife
A record as comfy as is it enigmatic. I think it was intended the reproduce the sound of private small space song-writing, veritably awash with gentle reverb and hushed echoes. It's a friendly ghost of an album that you surely won't mind bunking in your tiny house with.

begravd, The Body of Christ
Genre: Noise/Power Electronics
Standout track: Blessings Unto You
Fine example of the kind of utterly spite-filled sonic filth you'll find on the notorious Deathbed Tapes label. Fair warning if you visit the bandcamp page, as there is a hefty dose of unpleasant xerox imagery and abject themes - as befits any self-respecting industrial network ;p
