best piece of advice

when i came out to my mom a while ago, the best piece of advice she ever told me was "you are more than your sexuality, you are more than just a boy". and to most people it might not seem like that much, but i struggle with rlly obsessive thoughts and i would go back and forth trying to convince myself i was straight by dating girls and i would tell my mom how much i struggled with it. i was also becoming obsessed with my gender and making sure i was just like my brother even though he is 4 years older than me, i wanted to be like him. i wanted to be him but i looked past all the bad things he did and said, i wanted to be the better version of him.
