Your Face, Summer Breeze, Iron Bars

Your Face

I see your face in the halls,

Your pretty eyes and perfect hair

I see your face on the screen,

In the words, in-between the notes

I can hear your breathing in the gentle wind,

Your soft voice in the rustling of the leaves,

Leaves on two trees entwined

Summer Breeze

You stand underneath a tree

The summer breeze feels good on your sweaty skin

The wind is filled with laughter,

And it fills your nostrils with the scent of pastries.

The air enters your brain and makes its home,

Embedding itself in your memories forever

Iron Bars

When the day comes

That thought sarcasm is crime

I hope to join artists in arms,

Behind iron bars

You know I had to make at least one depressing poem.

Honestly, if something I write is ever banned, I'll be honored.

Also, I know it only just became spring, but it actually hit 70 degrees where I live. Because it felt like summer, I started writing poetry about it. Hooray for irreparable climate change!
