Tonight for diner I had a chicken sandwich which I pressed using a panini press, however I did not use too much press so that my sandwich would stay intact. I used a chicken patty from the freezer in the garage. I also put on a slice of colby jack cheese as well as a slice of Pepper jack cheese. I got the cheese from walmart. After the sandwich was completed, I took a small bowl used mainly for sauces and sides and I dispensed a liberal amount of mild chipotle sauce, which I then dipped the sandwich in. It was OK. I also had strawberries which were abnormally large, and didn't quite go well with the spicy chicken sandwich I ate.
I had high hopes for the strawberries, but it seems the abnormal large size is actually a marketing tactic that only takes away from the actual flavor. There is nothing more sweet and flavorful than a farmers market strawberry that is about the size of a quarter.
I have grown quite sick of chicken sandwiches as my father only buys chicken products. I am not complaining, especially because it's free food, but still, imagine what I could do with beef or pork. I would kill for a pulled pork sandwich.
This meal was unfortunately a bust. I think I would give this meal a 5/10 on the base ten scale. The juxtaposition of spicy chicken sandwich and strawberries is not an enjoyable one. Next time I may make a salad, like certain take on a caesar.
