My weekly obsession; Week 1

I want to write more consistent blogs so I'm starting this!! My Weekly Obsession because honestly I find myself obsessing over something different each week. 

This week I've called back into listening constantly to Joost Klein. My girlfriend hatesss him...I think as a joke...I hope. I love Joost and his music, like most I discovered him through Eurovision last year, those events gave him such a tragic ending to something that started so happy, I do believe last years winner deserved their victory as they were very talented. 

But since then I've listened to Joost's music, I don't listen to a lot of non-English music but his really stands out for me. I've listened to his most recent release "Unity" AND ITS SOOOOO OGOOOOUD. I have a personal ranking; 

1. Last Man Standing 

I actually looked into the meaning of this song a little further and honestly I find it quite relatable in a way. I also just love the piano and tech elements in this song I think its beautiful. I'd highly recommend this song as your first listen in this album unless you want to keep it as a treat till the end of listening as its listed track wise. 

2. Filthy dog 

When this was released as a single prior to the album I WAS HOOKED IMMEDIATELY. Its soo chaotic I love it.

3. Why Not & United By Music 

I cannot put either of these songs at three so they're on the same rank. They're both so addictive and catchy its impossible to dislike them. I find the way they interpret their message in United By Music. If I'm not mistaken its a mockery of hypocritical close minded society. 

4. Discozwemmen & Kunst und Musik

These songs are so silly I love it...that's all I have to say. I find them just generally holding a different vibe to the other songs on the Album which brings nice variation. 

5. Luchtballon

I love the transition between the elements in this song, and how it blends together perfectly.

6. Gabberland 

Very culty lyrics...but I like how "boomy" this one was if that makes sense...? 

7. Friesenjung

BONUS INTERLUDE: Epiphany of Love: The Origin - I love how this interlude ends. 

I don't really know where to put the tracks I discluded from this list but that's about it.

PS. If ur from Australia you should totally stream Unity & other Joost songs to get him to come to Australia! his concerts look so cool and I think alot of people here on Spacehey would also enjoy them, please consider!!!!
