ill try to keep this brief; but ive always hated the modernization of using technology to complete assignments in school. even kids in levels as low as grade 5 are starting to use personal hand-out laptops for generally everything and it's sickening.
there's a grand divide between people who believe technology makes tasks easier and people who believe it makes things worse, so im gonna say it's probably a 50/50 thing. i know quite a few people who miss paper deadlines, but i also know people who are really good at multitasking and getting relatively everything done with just a shitty chromebook.
in a way, i guess it generally boils down to: "i have no choice but to sink my time into adapting to something new" because even if some of those people find turning everything in on a laptop to be far easier, they might still miss the physicality of written handouts.
i, for one, never got used to it. i could go out and say i miss every deadline "unintentionally", but it might honestly be a poor excuse for being lazy or not caring...
tl;dr a personal fuck you to canvas, teams, and every other online educational resource. you aren't helping my procrastination.
