short reviews of visual novels i have played in the while

survive the date has an interesting premise and narrative to it, but i think it could be better in some aspects and in execution of the story and what it wants to tell the readers

do NOT take this cat home is a fun death-collection game! but i feel like the horror aspect of it is not that scary and the hunt for all of the endings can be a bit of a slog from time to time (and some of the death scenarios just feel a bit boring and repetitive after a while)

clinical trial is a pretty good visual novel, personally some topics brought up in the story i can relate towards (both as myself and in my relation with other people) though i somewhat favor the bad ending more compared to the true ending. i suppose i just find the true ending to be too much of a "wish fulfillment" end for me to truly like it, not to say that i find it bad either. for a comment on a more technical thing, i kind of wish it has a better text skip option

and lastly, as MINDHACK just updated to it's 5th chapter, the latest chapter gives a lot of things for the reader to thing about, as it personally changes some of my perspective on the story going on. what exactly are BUGS? are those horsehair worms?! i just wish that it keeps up being good up until the end of the story
