SEPHORA KIDS AGH-why so serious?

Why do y’all bully Sephora kids? Like—the SAME people who make fun of 4th graders for having Pusheen backpacks are the ones making fun of kids who already wear makeup at that age (insert skull emoji).

Unfortunately (or fortunately?), I don’t have that cishet vanilla girl experience… BUT I don’t think it’s normal to bully kids and preteens (or anyone, really) for their interests. Society has just normalized it.

If I, at my old vamp age, can collect plushies and watch cartoons, then 9-year-olds can dress up or do makeup for fun. Everything is fine as long as you don’t overdo it.

Also, another thought: maybe kids wouldn’t be so afraid of going through that "cringe but free preteen" phase if it wasn’t so demonized by edgy people.

You’re kinda right, if it’s kid makeup and all that. Is when they start using grown makeup and products, that’s where i draw the line. Because they don’t need it, their skin isn’t made for those kind of products. Kids shouldn’t even be worried about makeup, it’s the media setting those standards up. I’ll say that parents might have the responsibility for this, but there some parents that don’t even know what their child is doing.
