i kinda wanted to start writing a comic series, i recently read all of the killjoys comics, and im like why not. last night I kinda came up with the premise of the series, but im not sure if I can pull it off, but ill, keep u updated :)
The story would be based on a child, around 6 years old, with a terminal illness. The kid doesn't understand the concept of death, only that it means people 'being goned' as they call it, and that maybe someday, it would take them away too and end their pain. so, as a coping strategy, they begin to draw a comic about an angel who gets kicked out of heaven and falls from the sky. (this represents her current hope that there will be an afterlife) she shows the comic to their mom, and the story begins (the main story line would follow the fallen angel, and the kids life an emotions being somewhat of a side plot influencing certain parts of the comic, as the angel story is something they're writing) the angel would land in the middle of nowhere, they're wings would've fallen off, but a group of misfits roaming the empty land find them and explain the current state of events. a man named death has swept the land, 'goning' most as he went. the misfit group are some of the last alive. As the story progresses, the fallen angel accepts her place, learns the truth about death, finds love possibly?, makes friends, and other stuff I still haven't come up with. At the same time, the kid who is drawing the comic starts to realize that death is much more than they thought, that their time is limited, learns how to say goodbye, and loses they're faith as their numbered days tick by, this results in the 'fallen angel' character becoming less and less angelic as the comic progresses. Im still debating whether the kid will age throughout the volumes of the comic or not.
