i have a wide range of music that i like...

i imagine a lot of people do this, but nearly every song i've ever downloaded or listened to, i attribute to a physical memory, or a vibe that a friend gives off, or an OC, or or or...

that's why i don't think like, any music that people like is inherently cringey, because to a certain extent everyone does this?

for example: neighborhoods by blink-182 came out the year that i got my licence, and i listened to it a lot in my very first car. i can see myself at 17, coming down the hill of my hometown, when i listen to after midnight.

my most "out of taste" one is closer by the chainsmokers, and it's because it reminds me of my friend who committed s*****e. she really liked that song, and i remember the summer that it came out, it was really popular at our house parties and the bar alike. every time i hear it, i imagine her pushing my other friend in a shopping cart down main street at the city fair. not my knees crumpling when i got the phonecall that she was gone.

what song or album do you have that evokes a really specific memory for you?
