An Iphone 4 in 2025?! Yes indeed!

I am back with another post! And this time, with another old phone that we are still using. Believe it or not, I can still call with this phone despite the apple app store not working with it. Will you look at this beauty~! THE IPHONE 4!

History of My iPhone 4

Basically, we bought this at around the first year of the pandemic, which is around 2020 if I think. It was my father that bought the iPhone 4 because he wanted to see what all the fuss was about back when they were first released. Almost all his co-workers back around 2010, if I'm right, availed them as soon as it was possible. My father didn't think that it was worth buying at that time and stuck to his handy dandy keypad phone (which I still have and will be posting in the future!). Until his job required him to have a touchscreen phone, which he decided that my mother and him would not be buying apple products but Samsung ≧◠‿◠≦✌!

What Apps Still Work?!

Unfortunately, not a lot of apps work in the iPhone 4. Even netflix and Spotify stopped working at around 2022 if I'm right. Youtube has long been gone even when we first bought it. We use the internet apps like Safari and installed two others more like Chrome and UC Browser, to see which ones work best. I'm not really sure if Facetime still works with this because I don't really have another working apple product as of the moment. （っ＾▿＾）

Shockingly enough, Instagram and Facebook still work in this iPhone! Though you have to had it installed as, I have said before, it is no longer supported by the apple app store. 

How's the Touch Screen Experience?

Believe it or not, it is still very much a good touch screen for its time. I think that its last update fits the phone well as it feels fast, and it would only lag a little if there are a lot of tabs open on the Safari or if there are more than three to four apps open at the same time. The keyboard is still fast, very satisfying to use despite the small screen!

Soooo... How Do You Still Use It?

My family and I still use it as an extra phone. It's also there in case of emergencies as it could still be used for calls and texts. It could also be used as an MP3 as I put music there whenever I would just want to listen to some old classic songs. I also put movies there just for the fun of it and watch despite the small screen. BUT, if there's one thing that it's completely good for it's: AS A CAMERA!

If you like the vibes that older phones give off on pictures and videos, the iPhone 4 is perfect for this. Not too clear, but also not too blurry; I say it gives off the right vibes for the year it came from which is around the 2010s.

I wouldn't recommend buying an iPhone 4 at this age and time, especially if you want like a second functional phone that you can use like your main phone.
