i'm a shadow stan now (quarterly status update)

you'll probably have noticed an updated profile. it's official, i have entered my 2000's myspace emo "no it's not a phase".

in all seriousness, my college's mass comm club hosted a watch party for the third Sonic movie, and I'm pretty sure that's what made my Shadow the Hedgehog autism as severe as it is. i love him, king badass

in other news, i'm getting closer to graduating! college is going well, my radio show is fun, and my business class is the exact opposite. 

also, I've been visiting a healthy amount of dead malls in the area. recent visits include Valley West Mall in Des Moines (with my Sony A6000, Kodak DC210, and Game Boy Camera), Crossroads Mall in Waterloo (with my A6000 and DC210), Sunset Plaza Mall in Norfolk (A6000 and DC210), College Square Mall in Cedar Falls, and the infamous East Hills Mall in St. Joseph (yes, the mall with that commercial). here's me sitting in a massage chair at East Hills: https://bsky.app/profile/msx.gay/post/3lkgi4woce22b

as for the website, not a whole lot has changed, outside of the photo galleries for the dead mall photos. I've officially replaced the cassette collection page with my Discogs collection, as I now have many more CDs than cassettes (and making pages for 500+ CDs would be... tedious). I'm thinking about replacing the manifesto with a much more light-hearted page, as I don't feel the need to have a revolutionary manifesto on a little personal webpage I dick around with. kinda seems pretentious, considering I just want a little sandbox to play in.

in terms of music, I've been trying to get into heavier indie stuff. i've been listening to bands like static dress, fallingwithscissors, kills birds, and common wounds recently. also found a few babymetal collabs I love, like the ones with indian band Bloodywood and german band Electric Callboy. falling in reverse fucking sucks, ronnie radke is a shitstain on the metalcore scene.
