Long Crazy Rant™ about the modern internet!!

As many people may know, the modern internet is far from the Wild West that it used to be (kinda stopped being like that around the early 2010s). But that's not why I miss the earlier internet! Sure, being able to say what you want is amazing (as long as you aren't being an asshole), but I miss how chaotic and colourful old webpages used to be

Sure, we have SpaceHey and NeoCities (made to be recreations of MySpace and GeoCities), but I miss the eye bleed of early YouTube! I miss the overly glossy and 3D effects that every single businesse uses for logos and apps! I miss being able to just see tons of weird and wonderfully creative designs and art put into every corner of the World Wide Web!! 

It's honestly so sad to see the boring, flat, and generally unimaginative personality that the internet seems to have. Minimalism seems to have taken over the internet and it's so repetitive that it makes me feel like every single social media site has the same layout with the only difference being the name or logo being in the corner. 

I know this is basically going to end up being a scream into the void or just me preaching to the choir that is this site, but I needed to get this out. 

And if any main stream social media owners some how end up seeing this, please give us the old internet back.
