sunlight in the house of clovers

Now my duty is to dance with the wilt

piss on a stage and hear the applause.

They'll commit a genocide on TV and they'll give a smile.

cheers and applause of the ignorant ring through.

Muffles the people's screams and cries.

We're on a line

waiting for the time

we're on a line

I don't wanna die

We're on a line

I wrote this because I get terrified at looking at the news. Seeing human rights be stripped from us fucking terrifies me. Knowing that there is an actual genocide toward trans and non-cis people (including myself) is going on and that foundations that research genocide for years agree that America is committing genocide. I get terrified looking at how women's rights are taken away more and more.

Its already depressing and terrifying seeing my own and others' human rights get taken away but what puts me off more is that the people around me seem almost ignorant of this all happening. I live in a very conservative place in the southern US and so it feels suffocating.

Existence is resistence and while I can't do much right now bc my mom is strict and conservative. What I can do is keep writing and making music as well as spreading awareness of what's going on.

To anyone reading this and relating to this even a little bit please know that you are not alone. Your fear is valid but Fascism thrives on fear and what fascism is directly opposed by is determination to fight and spite. Live out of spite if you must but remember do what you can to keep any community online and offline.

I love you all no matter what happens
