a rant about school

Why are people weird, like why do people take things so srsly, there's so many things that should be taken seriously, but aren't. I'm almost 17, so in high school and people take school so seriously, like every little test and every little bad mark matters so much, but it doesn't, the school system is designed to prepare kids to enter the 9-5 workforce to work till they're 65 (more or less). 

people always ask me what my plans are for the future, idk.. be happy hopefully, have a little store and some cats in my little cottage. I don't WANT to give my life to this dumbass capitalist economy!! LET ME LIVE MY DREAM

ppl ask how I can just not take school seriously, but SCHOOL ISNT EVERYTHING!! IT DOSENT DETERMINE YOUR WORTH OR THE COURSE OF THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!! THE WORLD IS SO BIG AND WE'RE SO SMALL AND IRRELEVANT!

I dream of a day where it isn't a necessity to work 6-8 hours everyday at a draining job that pays you barely enough to own an apartment and support a child.

PS. I'm not failing out of school, I get good enough grades with barely studying and rarely stressing about ts(this shit)

I'm curious if anyone else feels similarly, lmk
