Okay, hear me out. First person shooter, futuristic arena sport setting, maximalist HUD, informational audio design, and fast, epic parkour combat. That's what I'm calling "Project Spaceheater" (Space because futuristic and heater because fast-paced action). There would be a few different game modes; Basketball, both teams must carry the ball to the opposing base, Heist, either team must crack a safe and retrieve more gold than the other etc... you get the idea. Familiar family friendly sports with a futuristic, gun-play twist.
There would be changeable suits and headgear to suit both fashion and playstyle, like lightweight clothing for faster movement but shorter jump distance, or thicker helmets for increased protection but less visibility and so forth.
So far, I've pretty much nailed the engine concept in fortnite creative, physics are pretty good, maybe I'll use something similar in the final. Fortnite's weapon roster sucks ass, so the loadout structure will definitely need configuring from scratch when I begin the real thing. Also, suits and boots and stuff are absent altogether, so that's gonna be a priority first-thing.
Now, the soundtrack has me divided. What's for sure is funk hip-hop, à la Jet Set Radio, and speed EDM, Wip3out style. But... Got the Time fits too well to be omitted. Where do I put it? I'll have to find more, but what's so special about that song is how unique it is, finding anything remotely similar will be impossible, especially something that'll fit into a two minute game. (Oh, yeah, the rounds to this game are only two minutes).
I've got a few pinboards for this if someone wants to guess what it'll look like.
