hear me out, im so tired of forcing myself to write with millions of emoticons, or more internetish grammar to match the retro reputation of this website, this is all fun for me, but im not willing to copy paste emoticons or add millions of :3 XD everywhere to preform within the reputation of the web. nothing against people who use them, but personally, i will not act in a way that may be artificially quirky to fit a social media website that isnt the most comventional i suppose
good day

This is so real. I personally enjoy the little :3 and XD guys, and I feel like this website is almost a greenlight to use them as often as I'd like; where as in smth like Instagram I wouldn't because that's just not how people talk on there.

Same. I don't understand why people use them so much even when it has no sense
Honestly this is so real I don't really want to judge people for using faces because I've used the little :3
However the thing is when people start spamming every single blog and comment they make with a million emoticons and even worse when they purposefully add a whole lot of nonsense into their text so it's nearly unreadable it's very annoying. Some other common did say that a majority of people who do this are 12 to 13 which is very valid however it's damn annoying

tbh it's all the thirteen year olds. and hey, good for them, yk? they're just being kids. personally i enjoy using one ironically once in a while, but hey, you do you.
Of course that's totally valid using emoticons is something you can do if you want to and eventually you might go out of it and you might not, what I mean is those people who do it as more of a caricature of 2000's culture and they purposefully fill up their entire text with millions of emoticons just to seem more 2000 ish rather than using them when they actually feel like it.

lmao. I pretty sure people then didn't talk like that, it just a caricature to me.
EXACTLY. I think most of these people are quite young and they want to get more of a 2000s vibe but by trying super hard it's as if they made their own over exaggerated character or persona rather than really following whatever speech patterns they had

Even I am guilty of this at times, I speak like an American online but my actual speech is different.
