bit by a dog

I got bit by some fuck ass dog when I was riding my bike earlier today. Literally did nothing to provoke the dog. I was riding past the cul-de-sac it lives in and I didn't notice it was chasing my bike. It bit my upper lower thigh, close to my knee. A pretty big hole, like an inch in diameter. It barely hurt. It was scary looking at it, though. Its saliva did something to it because it made my blood look like white jelly. Its fuckass owner showed up when the dog came close to me again. I stuck my leg out, ready to knock its skull in. I think the owner called out saying it would be okay if I hit it? She called for it and grabbed it hard by its collar.

I was just sitting there, kinda stunned. I've never been bit by a dog like this which is crazy cuz I'm dog lover 101 and I pet dogs all the time. I didn't walk up to this dog. So I call out for the owner, "Your dog bit me, you know!" And I get a simple, "Sorry." FUCK.

My dad called me right then, pissed because my clothes were in the washer, and he opened my room to find me and saw the rice cooker in my room. Said to GTF home and put my clothes in the dryer. I came home and I tried to explain what happened with my leg. "Well maybe you shouldn't fuck with dogs." I told him that dog came up to ME and heroically bit me (I wouldn't have noticed it if I rode my bike faster). Blah blah blah.

Called my mom who is a nurse. I don't have much health anxiety but like. Yeah. I wonder how other people would react in this situation. Dog was like a border collie mix. Not a full blown border collie. Maybe I'm just stupid people-pleaser. Letting that owner walk off like that. A simple "sorry :3" Didn't dawn on me that I should have asked if the stupid thing was caught up on shots! Maybe I'll do that.

My dad said he wouldn't take me to the emergency room unless I was willing to pay for the costs out of my own pocket. Imagine if it was a nothingburger. Imagine if that dog does have rabies though. Fuck. Hopefully I don't die. I will die if it has rabies. Wound is still bleeding over three hours later. Going to give my mom another call.
