scene and emo are commonly mixed up in today's society, despite being entirely different—though overlapping—fashions when they were created. i am here to help share the differences! =]
SCENE
unlike emo, scene is composed of brighter colors, the occasional miniskirt, many accessories, and many layers. coloring and styling the hair is also very popular in scene fashion, as well as wearing colorful eyeshadow with heavy black eyeliner and lip gloss, as well as various assortments of nail polish. popular ways to accessorize with scene fashions include colorful or silver jewelry, hair extensions, studded belts and bracelets, arm warmers, plastic decorative glasses, and kandi, which is jewelry made with plastic, round beads known as pony beads and the occasional charm which is either bought as-is or made out of ironed plastic beads known as perler beads.
